The same rules apply to the vaccines as voting.  Once may help a little, but you really need to do it twice for the full effect.

Oregon put everyone who got vaccinated before June 27th in the pool.  That was the target date for 70%. Missed it, but should be there tomorrow.

I just registered, thanks!

The $50,000 daily prize is only for new vaccinations. The $1 million and $2 million prizes are for anyone who has been vaccinated since December 2020. The scholarships are retroactive for anyone 12-17 who got the vaccine after December 2020.

Probably have better odds dying of COVID than winning.

Time to sue, then. Why should you be punished for doing the right thing?

When Washington started with the joints for jabs program I got vaccinated 37 times.

It figures. All I got was a tiny ToostyRoll lollypop. (His favorite).

People still won't get the shot.

Most states aren't publishing their breakthrough fatality rates, but extrapolating from Maine that does, I'd very roughly guess Michigan has had about a hundred, so yeah, dying of Covid after being fully vaccination should be likelier.

Sort of asinine that the stupidest people are getting an additional incentive.

Frankly the government should make people that refuse to get the vaccine for non-medical reasons pay back the covid checks...

But. In both cases you have to be in it to win it.

"To be eligible, Michiganders must have gotten a vaccine between Dec. 1 and July 10."

Way to exclude clinical vaccine trial participants who paved the way for all the people who waited until after FDA approval.

That's sorta the point.  If you understand probability you get the vaccine because those are your best odds of survival.

For people that don't math so good... we do the lotto thing.  Turns out all that Facebook and YouTube research can be nullified with the tasty tasty prize of what's basically a $3 lotto ticket.
