Persnickety: Bought by Yum Brands who singlehandedly ruined both Pizza Hut and KFC (and arguably Taco Bell).  They get away with using cheapest ingredients drowned in salt for these other brands because they've always just been cheap food.  Au Bon Pain is more of a frou frou kind of brand.  No one's gonna want to pay 8 bucks for a shiatty tasting chipotle turkey avocado sandwich on cheap bread.

Have they ruined Habit Burger yet?

Ampex sounds like a magnetic tape company changed their business into restaurant franchising.
