Don't really need to waste money hiring spies to investigate a guy suspected of being an America-hating traitor, when he goes on teevee on a regular basis to loudly remind everyone that he's an America-hating traitor.

Maybe he only just noticed that those big boxy things in the studio are cameras.

He told his audience on Monday a government whistleblower told his team the National Security Agency is "spying" on their electronic communications and is "planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air."

Trump org target who got a lot of questions about some emails he sent Carlson and Spammity leaked them to Faux news. Now they are starting to circle their wagons.

Hey Fu*ker, you do realize that shiat rolls downhill, right?  Who you got downhill and downwind from you?  Anyone?

Wait...I thought that it was perfectly acceptable for the government to spy on journalists. Are you saying that spying on journalists is...wrong? Then...why have you not called out the Trump Administration for spying on journalists and congress?

Fox, as awful as it is, does seem to have the ability to hire competent attorneys. If this is remotely true, and there is absolutely no reason to believe Carlson, or anyone who would have anything to do with him, then News Corp would be on this like fat on a mother-in-law.

Until I see the results from a FOIA, or a lawsuit from Fox, I'm marking this down as a "no reasonable person would believe Carlson was presenting his words as fact" event.

The only other possibility is that Carlson was caught up in a communication with a foreign entity who was being monitored by US intelligence.

They hired a good enough lawer to convince a judge that Trucker isn't responsible for what he says, because no one in their right mind should believe him.

Tucker, The NSA is not spying on you. You're not nearly as important as you think you are.

2021-06-29 9:40:55 AM
This is all about Tucker Carlson trying to pull a power play on the other right wing media hucksters, and fill the Rush Limbaugh vacuum. If the NSA is spying on him and the Biden Administration is trying to "cancel" him, Then Tucker must be the "chosen one" with the "secret truth" the QAnus right must follow and the chosen successor to Rush.

Kinda reminiscent of when Trump though Obama was listening in on him through the microwave and not because his administration leaked like a sieve.

2021-06-29 9:54:02 AM
I mean, Tucker hasn't personally committed crimes to my knowledge but he very much is a public member of a large terrorist organization so being a person of interest kinda comes with the territory.

This isn't even me being partisan, he's just factually the equivalent of someone openly billing themselves as a cleric for a quaeda. That guy hasn't committed any actual crimes either, but maybe you noticed that no one was super sympathetic when he biatched about being under the eye of law enforcement? There's a point where preemptive attention is entirely reasonable.

The NSA is trying to cancel your show on the tee vee? Tucky, I think you're confused about what the NSA does.  If they're spying on you, it isn't being done with the goal of canceling your nightly hatefest.  It's to cancel your freedom by putting you in prison.

Most people have to spend money treating their mental health issues.  They go to therapists, take drugs, etc.

There are nine authorized reasons for denying a FOIA request all of which are limited in scope. But to provide information then that information must actually exist.

As much as I may wish Tucker didn't exist, I can reasonably surmise that information does not exist.

Tucker Carlson doesn't believe a damn word he says, and he'll cheerfully admit that to just about anyone when he's not on the air.

That doesn't make it any better. If anything, it makes him even more repulsive.

And those folks, if they are still there, have been sidelined to positions where they can't do harm.

The civil service does not look kindly at political appointments, especially ones so blatantly political. If they are forced to keep them, they will stick them where they cannot do harm. And if those people do what they likely will and try to access info they don't have a need to know, they will be out on their ass and/or face criminal prosecution.

This is all assuming they can pass a background check, let alone one for any clearance level higher than Secret, and even that's pushing it. You need to disclose *everything*, and if you f*ck up and lie to an investigator, they will have your ass.

Law enforcement yes. Absolutely not on the other two.

If the military was predominantly Trumpers, they would've joined in the insurrection, would they not?

Military skews more Libertarian. Intelligence folks, if they are right of center, are more Dubya brand of conservative, but even that isn't really true in the last 20 years.

The cops I agree with though. They are a lot of folks that got discharged for less than honorable conduct, or they got their GI Bill benefits and split.

The folks that have stayed and deployed in the last 20+ years are not nearly as Trumpy as you think they are.

To add, the Intel community sees more shiat than the rest of us do, they understand how the world works, and are more hawkish, but that doesn't make them more conservative.

Especially not after Trump spent 4+ years trying to dismantle them and throwing them under every bus he could.

The NSA didn't waste any time getting a Trump appointed lawyer out of their offices. He was administratively suspended immediately and likely never even saw the inside of his office before being dismissed.

Exactly.

Again, if you're working for an Intel agency, you need to pass a very rigorous background check, and I believe a poly.

If you cannot pass those, which most Trumpers can't, they will not have a job in that agency.
