That is what my mother told us kids liver was in the 60s to get us to eat it.

We were not fooled.

I'm planning on giving this a go in the next week or two.  I love offals so this sounds awesome.  I figure serve it over some sauteed cabbage (my wife won't eat rice).

Dinaguan is super tasty, but is very "saucy".  It pretty much demands to be eaten with rice.

Naan or crusty French bread might work to sop up the delicious juices.

This is not a regional thing, some of the most remote tribes in Africa eat congealed blood of animals.

Woah. Today I learned about dinaguan. Off to the Googlemobile to look for a good recipe. =)

Blood products aren't halal (or kosher), so that's more than a billion folks who can't eat this super deliciousness.

Their loss

I has a disappoint from TFA, was mostly-expecting something mole'-related?

now... boudin, blutwurst, sundae - (lololol! now there is one deceptive name!) - black pudding, &c. &c. - all good!

In the before times, my family had a bit of a competition. My aunt would cook dinuguan and my cousin in law, who has a Michelin star French restaurant would bring blood sausages. I'd eat them both with equal amounts of joy.

Based on the headline I thought it was about attractive and successful male adult film actors.

Chocolate meat is traditionally eaten with soft steamy fresh puto.

It wasn't until I grew to adulthood and dated a Hispanic that I realized that the above phrase is extremely offensive to some people.

/Don't care. Eats puto.

hunh! I'd never thought of it that way, but yes! you are correct, sir! also? you can get them in both cooked-lard and raw lard forms. the raw pork fat is much better, imho.

also, funny thing: "Сало в шоколаді" ("salo in chocolate") started out as a sort of racist joke against Ukrainians, but then we eventually managed to make it into a point of national pride and humor.
