Why was he even on a damn plane? Didn't he keep all those zip-lines after the show went off the air?

'I rebooked myself on a Southwest flight 2 hours later and traveled home without any further issue. I let my emotions get the better of me, end of story. Must be a slow news cycle.'

Yeah, what could possibly be newsworthy about another asshole on a plane getting into a drunken screaming match with his wife and being thrown off by air marshals?

Jesus dude, deflect much? Yeah, news is dead and has been forever. But we get these stories about joe six-pack a couple times a week. You better believe we're getting them about you.

If you are a "celebrity", and are removed from a plane, it's not a slow news cycle.

Sometimes you can be in trouble federally.  You need to check your anger with your baggage.

i couldn't get past the first episode

he shoots an arrow at the guy's wall safe, and that arrow hacks into his bank account and steals his money?

this, on like the second day back from some deserted island

Man gets angry at his wife, did not hit her, scream at employees, was allowed back on a plane. How is this news? Even Fark News?

You think the island was deserted, and that it was the only place he'd been?

Are you unfamiliar with superhero media in general?

Yeah and the alternative is he had wifi this whole time and never emailed his farking sister to let her know he was alive?

//it may have been a brother? girlfriend?

Because only pricks yell at their wife in public places. Only MAJOR pricks yell at their wife on an airplane, where nobody can get away from it and is forced to listen. Only RICH AND FAMOUS ENTITLED SUPER-HERO PRICKS yell at their wife, get escorted off of the plane, and then try to pretend it wasn't a big deal.

So, Amell is a prick. I didn't know that.

Yes, only pricks ever become angry, disturbed or emotional.
No one who has ever been married or in a long term relationship has ever raised their voice in public because of stress, needling, baiting or intense aggravation.

Anger is an illegal emotion. If you ever get mad in public everyone looks at you like Helen Lovejoy. The only time you're allowed to yell is when you're at a metal concert and you're pumping your fist

Nobody is saying anybody hit anybody, or anything really bad. Seems to be, dude gets drunk, loses his temper and yells at his wife in front of a bunch of strangers on a plane. Still drunk dude was probably still being shiatty and loud, and gets walked off the plane to sober up.

One would hope, since he's a human being, to subsequently indeed sober up - and realize what an ass he had been, and how he'd embarrassed his wife, himself, and everybody around him in public. Or, since we don't know him, maybe he doesn't think that, and is belligerent about it. None of us are really going to know that.

But this would have been a fairly boring story of someone being stupid and doing embarrassing shiat in public if he wasn't Arrow, from DC's Arrow TV show. Not even Fark worthy! No... I don't know, shameful slapfight with an obese air marshal, no constantly puking service animal, no high school marching band in the back rows playing yakkity sax. Just some schmuck having one of his most embarrassing moments in public that one time. As long as he makes it right with his wife, and learns the lesson. Meh.

No, the alternative is that there was a military installation on the island, and that he was off the island more than he was on it - such as the year he spent joining the Russian mafia, or his time working for Amanda Waller, and he didn't tell his sister he was alive due to DRAMA and REASONS because COMIC BOOKS, and he didn't tell the girlfriend he was alive because he thought he killed her sister (twice) and was overwhelmed with guilt - aka DRAMA and REASONS because COMIC BOOKS.

I don't need to defend the arrow.  It's an arrow with some comic superhero tech built into it.  He fired it into the safe to get it into the room so that it could IR or BT into the laptop and execute a script.

See, the format of the show is that for the first five seasons during each season they do concurrent storylines - Arrow & fam in Starling (Star) City in the present day, and Ollie wherever he was doing whatever he was up to in the corresponding year of the five year gap.

They didn't explain the arrow in the first episode because they only revealed his experiences after the shipwreck gradually.

Somewhere someone must have video of the incident on a cell phone. I'm sure that will be forthcoming. TMZ, where are you?

It takes a grade A dunce to cause a disturbance on an airplane in a post 9/11 world. Doesn't matter what the reason is. She could've let a hotel bell boy finger her dunghole while he was asleep. Still, it wouldn't justify behaving like a cockbag on a passenger jet.

The guy had a tv show, and as a television actor he should be well aware from watching Ralph Kramden in re-runs of "The Honeymooners" that you don't threaten your wife in public. You wait til you're at home where you can threaten her with violence in peace!

Be glad he never got violent.  He did a lot of his own stunts for 8 years, and with the physique to go on one of those American Ninja obstacle course shows and beat the course easily.

Judging by his response in the article he barely takes any responsibility for the incident and doesn't even acknowledge that he was being disruptive enough to be removed from a plane - which generally takes some doing.

Except he couldn't when he was created.  "Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound" doesn't make much sense for a guy who can fly, does it?

Man, I am imagining coming home from that SW flight to face my wife after I got buzzed and yelled at her in a public setting and got bounced off a plane. I would probably just tell the Uber driver to take me to a cheap hotel or a jewelry store.

People make mistakes, getting into an argument with your partner after too much to drink isn't a good thing, but unless it's part of a larger pattern that doesn't make him a prick.

Getting into an argument so disruptive that you need to be taken off an aircraft makes you a prick. Like, this isn't about whether it's "right" to experience anger or whatever, it's about the ways in which you give that anger expression, and "needs to get kicked off an aircraft" is not a healthy expression of anger.

Well it's true at least that he's not his character because otherwise this would go on for a season and a half where he wants to say something to his wife but "knows" that she'll never see him the same after even when it's obvious that he's hiding something from his dark past in the waiting area of the airport with a 40 of Southern Comfort.
