The wall was the crown jewel of Trump's master class on "overpromise and underdeliver."

A few weeks ago, I saw a Trump 2024 merch stand off the highway while I was driving to Costco.

It was unfortunately far enough back that there wasn't much potential for a truck to run off the road and plow through it at it's busiest time.

I hope he goes with the "Keep America Great" nonsense. It implies Joe Biden is, at minimum, a great steward of the office in terms of maintaining levels of greatness.

I was driving yesterday through the sticks in TX (Colorado and Wharton counties) and there were some of those flags flying in a few of the fields.  So there's a market.

Clearly, it was a political protest and causing a traffic issue.  All republicans would say that you had a right to run the entire display over - particularly if you were driving a truck.

My favorite tale about the wall is that it started as a metaphor his campaign staff came up with to remind him to talk about immigration reform, but Trump took it literally and started talking about concrete and razor wire instead of things such as extreme vetting.

Are you sure those are legs? They look like stray McNuggets in some kind of symbiotic relationship.

Someone in my apartment building has a 25 year old Ford explorer with a Trump 2024 sticker.  He found some drywall screws one of the other neighbors lost at about 845 this morning.

/I may need to buy some for him to find next week.

It does seem like something from SNL, but I'm afraid it is all too real.

Did he fall for the banana in the tailpipe?

But it can be dangerous messing with a crazy person's truck. Even one who is also stupid.

Bumper stickers are a little different category, and can provide lots of amusement for lots of folks.

My favorite part was how Mexico was supposed to pay for the wall but yet we needed Congress to spend money to fund the wall and their excuse was "Mexico will pay us back eventually".

The same thing happens when someone asks you for money and promises to pay you back but deep down you know they'll never pay you back.

Actually, a sticker sheet of this "NO" symbol would be great when you encounter a 45** bumper sticker or yard sign. Just peel one of these and stick it over Dump's name. Instant relief.

I don't fault the guy though.  There's seemingly no shortage of rubes out there, and they're willing and able to give their money to anything and anyone that "agrees" with them.  I've got no problem taking it.

Your spouse comes to you and says you absolutely MUST pay for a fence between you and your neighbor, to stop his dog from shiatting in your yard.  And it won't cost anything because, according to your spouse, the neighbor promises to pay for it.  The neighbor says "fark off".  But the spouse continues to say the neighbor will pay for it, somehow.

Would you build the fence?  No, of course not.  Nobody would.  So now the spouse is saying the fence is mostly built and it's the best fence ever.  And if we could get the rest of the family to chip in their allowances and lawnmowing money, we could finish it.

It was the worst episode of Leave it to Beaver ever.  Ward got shiatty drunk and started beating the family.
