Jesus, I skimmed over that part.

Possibly, also just possibly a crappy photo. If it's taken in the small hours of the morning following a night on unnamed-by-the-article drugs (I think we all know it's meth or MDMA) then she might look quite normal under normal circumstances.

Still, I've seen 20-year-olds who look like teenagers.
She's definitely on the other end of the spectrum of "You won't believe how old she is!"
(Not saying she's hard on the eyes, just saying she doesn't look 2-4 year out of college)

Speaking of morning-afters, how are you holding up?

Thanks for asking, still sober. The wife's out tonight and I had a moment this afternoon realising I could get away with sneaking a few drinks if I planned it correctly but I've thought better of it and am just home from a walk with a dog listening to an audiobook and went nowhere near the pub. So that's now two months of sobriety for the first time since my university days 23 years ago when I was too broke to be anything else. Thanks again for checking in on me.

Or, maybe, we should not judge people for getting caught? The news and cops are doing a job. It's the rest of us that add insult to that injury. 🤕

I was just reading about chocolate again the other day, how it acts as a drug, And they sell it practically everyplace!  You get a prescription filled and they've got it right there at the counter. My local pharmacy specifically asks you if you want whatever chocolate is on sale that day.

I think that would be a prohibited possesor, a weapon under disability iirc would come from someone being prohibited after something like an involuntary commitment for mental health reasons.

Sorry waxy, but that is one of the stupidest things I've read from you. The logical extension of that is all foods are drugs. Taken that loosely the term means nothing. But to be fair, both of our posts may simply be just in fun and I may be over-reacting (known to do that).
I guess the difference is the drugs in the article are obviously not legal, compared to your sugar 'drug'. Peace.

Can sugar be considered a drug?
Brain scans have confirmed that intermittent sugar consumption affects the brain in ways similar to certain drugs. A highly cited study in the journal Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews found that sugar-as pervasive as it is-meets the criteria for a substance of abuse and may be addictive to those who binge on it.

I wouldn't even blink if someone told me they owned a gun.
It's cases where there are multiple factors such drug possession with intent to distribute that things get hairy.

And this isn't my take alone, there's a reason having a gun during other crimes is a legal multiplier (and yes, it's sometimes just to dump on people, my faith in the legal system isn't that steadfast).

God Damn Drug War! Costs so much needless suffering and is unjust to boot. Sure we should not sell meth next to the bubble gum at the CVS, but common sense measures like that are half a universe a way from current drug policy (though there has been improvement)

'Similar' is not 'same'. 'Addictive' and 'drug' are not the same. Sometimes articles are highly cited because other articles disagree with them. Shrug. Still all that is irrelevant because sugar is not an illegal substance unlike whatever substance the people in the article are charged with possessing.
