This movie looks like a lot of fun. Cast is solid. I'm still on the fence about the theater, but no doubt will pay the Disney+ fee.

Looking forward to Red Guardian. Little tired of the USA focus of the characters and world building. Makes the world seem small when they're supposed to be facing global threats.

I think that's fine as long as she donates to spider-run charities.

I like David Harbor. He'd make a good McClane if Willis ever got tired of Die Hard  which was like two movies ago.

I think you just might not be equipped to understand the powerful poetry and rich critical specificity of "what pulled me in was the really powerful themes & character moments".

/what pulled me in was the moving pictures and sounds

If it gives me two hours out of the house, a cup of beer and some nachos and is exciting and funny, I'm in.

Marvel movies, even the lousy ones, always do that.

I'm just tired of superhero movies where the "heroes" fight each other, then when they finally decide to fight the villain they all get their asses kicked. Which is most superhero movies these days.

Why can't we have a movie like the Black Widow interrogation scene in The Avengers. "Let me put you on hold" where she had the upper hand the entire time. That's a superhero. None of this interpersonal drama shiat, none of this villain beating the crap out of her and leaving her disabled and going on to wreck the whole city. Or the entire universe.

I take these early reviews with a grain of salt. They tend to come from bloggers and YouTubers who are fans, and don't have the clout to complain anyway as they want to keep getting perks like early screenings from the studios.

At the very least, I'm glad to hear how great Florence Pugh was.  Who on her own merits I never worried about, but who as what was intended to be the first real Marvel heir (remember, this was supposed to originally come out before Falcon and the Winter Soldier) had huge automatic stumbling blocks placed before her (especially since unlike Sam, she was totally new).

I think it is also required by law that every female action hero do that scissors around the neck move to flip a guy at least once per movie.

Like Natasha Henstridge before her, the carnivorous alien role is reserved for a once-in-a-generation actress.

Shoot, i'm gonna pay $30 to see this at home.  Screw theaters in this 33% vaccinated hellstate.

I think I read that when you pay for these on Disney Premium Access, you actually get to watch them over and over for the next three months, and they don't disappear in 48 hours?  Someone please confirm or deny.

I'm just curious about the Tennessee connection. Both Cookeville and Kingsport were mentioned. Kingsport was especially funny because I worked there in 1999, and my wife has an apartment there.

Could be. But Kingsport is really specific. I think someone from the production team is from that region of TN.

I think it's hilarious that the locations are like that

Earth City, Earth Country
Planet.

Not even a city on Hala or Titan, just the planet, while even small towns on Earth are specified, and there's no need to mention which planet they're on.
