So, after all these years, now we know it was actually cheese?!

That cheese bucket looks SO GOOD! (Why yes, I am fat.) Actually, that beef burger in the first pic looked like it's thicker than what we get in a US McDonald's.

"Gimme one of those cheese buckets and a straw."

"Those are for dipping, sir."

Bar where I used to work had some good nachos that came with a side of queso for dipping. Some foolish people would ask for theirs without, but that request would never make it to the kitchen and I would have queso shooters.

I like cheese, including fondue, but *hork*.

That's more cheese goo than "melted cheddar cheese." That said it's probably good dipping all sorts of artery clogging deliciousness in.

What, are they trying to catch up to Culver's?  Never gonna happen.

Anyone else feel like that photo looks like McDonalds from days gone by?  Like the burger looks different than the modern one (thicker patty) and the packaging, logos and font all look a little dated.  Almost as if they might still be packaging things in styrofoam there?

I wouldn't worry. It's a self correcting problem.

Kinda surprised Brazil though. Figure this would be all over the American or Mexican markets (don't worry Canada, you're catching up on us).

I'd think they would jump at the chance to get people to drop another couple dollars on this with a large fry.

....I probably would.

Brazil. You have much better culinary tradition than that. Why would you ever?

I'm surprised that they never had a nacho cheese sauce in the first place. Pepsico would love for them to have warm Frito nacho cheese in their stores as a dipping sauce.

2021-06-17 7:22:12 PM
If they can do that, they can put Cheddar on their McMuffins and Quarter Pounders instead of that damn bland American cheese.

And try a bit of seasoning on your meat, dammit!

Somewhere, there's a Leviathan salivating outside a McDonald's, thinking "y'know, I used to have to go to convenience stores for this sort of thing..."

Dur, I DNRTFA and just now realized that this is about the McDonald's in Brazil....

In any case, if the cheese sauce is what you want, just head to the nearest Culver's.  Better burgers and fries as well.

I *think* he's talking about the Leviathans from Supernatural - the ones Castiel brought out of Purgatory?

It's a reference to Dick Roman's plot to turn humanity into a docile cattle herd with those Turducken sandwiches.

But that's OK, I'm a Farscape fan, too.  Nice reference to Moya.

The joke was about an actual scene in a convenience store, where one of the Leviathans exclaims that "everything just tastes better with cheese" as he overturns a vat of cheese sauce on the cashier before devouring him, TBH... I'll see if I can find the scene on YouTube.

Man, that took a bit. Season 7, episode 3 - Chet the Leviathan says, "Plain old people taste fine, but everything is better with cheese." as he upends a huge bucket of hot cheese sauce on a guy at a convenience store before eating him.

I can't find "clean" footage, though.
