The catcher's reactions are great. He goes from confidently missing to flinching while trying to catch it to just not even bothering to move by the one around 0:36.

The best way to catch a knuckleball is to wait for it to stop rolling, bend over, and pick it up...

There are a host of worse ways to spend your time than reading Ball Four if you've got some love for baseball's beautiful ugly duckling, the knuckleball.

I remember hearing all about the knuckleball as a kid but I had to wait a while for YouTube to be invented before I could see one. I'm trying to think and I'm pretty sure I have yet to see a knuckler in person.

If you're 33 and just hitting AAA ball you're either

A) Insanely dedicated
b) Got an insane signing bonus upon being drafted
C) come from money
D) started playing when most give up

Why do you need a super high frame rate camera to capture something that has no relative motion??

Usually you need super high frame rates to captures things that are changing very, very quickly.

that callup money is legit.

I went to school with pete kozma. He's still playing AAA and is a millionaire. Those callups are a half million dollars.

The Orioles should call him up to the majors.  Their season is in the toilet so why not do a career minor leaguer a solid. What's the harm?
