lol
He'll be in prison soon

2021-06-14 6:49:11 PM
Why not.

He'll probably get voted in, and given the glacial pace of our "justice" system, President Half-Scoop will pardon him.

He can want to do a lot of things, but being stuck in prison is surely going to put the kibosh on any political plans

I think we've established most of these people aren't grounded in reality.

Well, collect all the peition signatures you want.
In solitary.

Why not? There are active insurrectionists still seated in both the House and the Senate.

These people live in a reality that is entirely created by wishful thinking. Just 5 minutes on Google--and that is allowing time for correcting the inevitable misspellings--would show them that they are staggeringly wrong, but they just don't care.

Will he be running as a Democrat? I heard the insurrectionists were Antifa so it would be kind of weird to run as a Republican.

2021-06-15 12:10:59 AM
And what would he like to accomplish there? Other than "owning the libs" I mean.

2021-06-15 12:12:11 AM
Afaik nothing legally stops him running for Congress from the Federal pen, but he's gonna have a hell of a time attending votes if he somehow gets elected.

Felons can't vote in many states even after they've served their sentences. They can still run for office.

At the last election, my county had a sheriff contender who was in jail for selling drugs.  I think he had 3 votes in his favor.

But they won't because ChickFilA is closed that day so they have no other reason to go out.

It would be easy to come up with some digs at this guy's expense but I'm pretty sure we're looking at a mental disability or chemical abuse problem of some sort.

Too far. My understanding is all the incumbent sheriff had to do was announce he was being investigated. The in jail thing is more Putiny than Ukrainey.

Sure.

AFTER his prison sentence.

Almost as if you can't go to literally any secondhand store, plop down $5, and walk out with a foreman grill.
The other incredibly complex items you'll need for this quest:
-a pickle (good luck with that, super rare drop)
-buns
-Mayo.
-and an overwhelming aura of smug carebear fascism.

But Riddle said he thinks the charges and involvement with the riot will help his campaign.

Must be some alternative spelling of insurrection I'm not familiar with.

"In the long run, if you're running for office, any attention is good attention, so I think it will help me," Riddle said.
"It tells them I show up," Riddle said about his role in the riots. "I'm going to actually keep my promises and make some changes."
Riddleis still ironing out the details of his platform, but said, "I guess, 'Let's get back to work,' that's going to be the slogan I go with."

Anybody that votes for this guy is getting the representation they deserve. He's an attention-whoring, moronic criminal with no platform other than "I break shiat! Git r' dun!" Unfortunately he has a preceding appointment at Chez Clink.

Oh, he was in "shock" when the mob stormed the Capitol building.

Not is "shock" enough, apparantly, to steal and drink a bottle of wine, AND steal and sell a book from one of the offices, selling it for $40 on the Capitol steps, according to the 'man' himself.

The conservative allergy to personal responsibility for their actions is far, far worse than the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hunter S Thompson famously got pretty close to being Sheriff of Aspen running on a Freak Power ticket in the 70's. He wasn't selling drugs but his policies required drug dealers to be honest, or face the stocks.

You know who else should have swung from a rope the first time he was caught committing massive sedition, but got away lightly because of a government that lacked the strength of will to deal with insurrectionists appropriately?

Not surprising.  He got a whiff of power and now he wants somma dat.

Maybe he'll learn how to make toilet wine on prison. Thay should cut down on his petty theft and gross insurrection.

'Conservatives' who openly commit crimes then run for office or reelection is a thing that's happening all over the country.   This is from Jersey.  https://patch.com/new-jersey/fairlawn-saddlebrook/bergen-gop-endorse-kugler-sheriff-corruption-charges-all

"I'M ONLY BEING CHARGED WITH A CRIME BECAUSE OF A LEFT WING CONSPIRACY!   IT'S ALL FAKE!"

Tens of millions of people buy into this.  That's the way it is in the twenty first century of these Disunited States of Derpistan.

NH elected the GOP to run the state legislature, governorship, and executive counsel. I'm betting Sununu will run for Senate next year.

I'm expecting some Gerrymandering for our two districts. Which is unfortunate because Kuster is a Good Congresswoman
