So, I wanted to biatch about the Brewers leapfrogging the Cubs based on their week against Arizona and Cincinnati, vs. the Cubs' week against SF and SD.

But the Brewers are 3-1 against the Dodgers and 5-2 against the Padres, not to mention 6-3 against the Cubs. So, no biatching. I'd worry a little about their run differential if I was a fan, but they look like a pretty good team.

The fact my favorite team (Baltimore) has a worse record than the Pittsburgh Pirates brings great shame to birdland and we should all feel bad.

/at least we should get a nice draft pick, at least

Yep. They had a nice recovery the last two days in Petco after going 1-4 to start the road trip. Now, to sweep the Cards before heading to NY. First full house of the season at Wrigley, and the Cards are in town? I'll probably hear the roars from six miles away.

Also, their baseball team should be lower on that power ranking chart.

I'm very curious to see how the Mets do the rest of the month. Padres, Cubs and then a bunch of games against the NL East, including three double headers in seven days. If we can keep playing like we have been, we can really pull ahead in the standings and let the rest of the division just beat up on each other.

But it's also the Mets and it's also June, so this can go very very badly.

Angels are 11-5 in their last 16 so that means they probably get swept this weekend at last place Arizona. Ohtani starts tonight on the mound, he has been very good recently with much better control.

They write like the Padres have been able to bat their way out of a wet paper bag with any sort of consistency at any point since 1998.
