(BBC-US)   Rumors are persisting that underage youths and ne'er-do-wells are using fake IDs to gain access to the naughtiness going on at OnlyFans. It's not like they can find a stack of magazines hidden under a bush or THE ENTIRE INTERWEB   (bbc.com) divider line

I think the gripe here is less about kids accessing porn, it's that underage people have been able to create accounts to upload themselves as the pornography.

Most of them are probably just trying to find out of their hot teacher has a secret account as a side hustle.

It's definitely problematic and kind of scary that kids already have it in their heads that selling photos and videos of themselves is a good idea to make some cash.

Anything involving IDs for age verification also runs the risk of getting hacked and all of the content creators could get exposed and doxxed. That could lead to major fallout.

Now that I think about it Subby, what kind of mind thought to place a stack of Penthouse magazines under Settler's Rock for me to discover when I was 8 and exploring the woods two miles from my house?
/For you millenials,, there used tp be one or teo stacks of playboy or penthouse magazines in the woods

I mean... I'd assume they're doing this because it's what I did to get into sites I wasn't supposed to when I was underage.

And the point is usually to get somewhere you're not supposed to be, subby, not just to see porn. It's actually a good sign that the kids these days are morally functional if they're deciding that specific rules are arbitrary and therefore should not be obeyed whereas other rules actually have a good reason to exist and therefore should. That's at least basic fully-developed morality, means they're becoming adults.

The problem isn't really that they're watching porn. Everyone's done that and it's perfectly normal. It's that underage kids are using fake IDs to create accounts so they can post and sell videos of themselves.

I have a kind of weird side gig helping people make Onlyfans content, mostly from being a photo- or videographer or in teaching editing skills, lighting etc to content creators. I also do boudoir and maternity photography in part because my social circle includes a lot of people who work at the strip club down the road from my house and in part because I have the skills and knowledge to help people with it.

OF does try to collect user info. I've posted adult content on my account without being asked for any ID at all, but my account is a free-tier one. If you're actually trying to make money from your page, they want a driver's license and SSN, but I'm aware of at least one person who provided the ID of her older sister simply because she didn't have a state ID. It turned in to a huge hassle because her sister got a 1099 from Onlyfans. Whoops. Anyway, they have their own contracts and rules for releases and they ARE making people agree to them.

I've never seen OF ask for 2257 documents, but apparently models on paid accounts are asked to keep them somewhere in the licensing agreements they approve when they sign up on paid accounts. As I understand it, they're asking everyone who appears in paid OF content to have their own page and to have agreed to OF's contracts individually.

From a documentary standpoint, that's actually pretty good since many adult sites don't bother with any of that stuff. Pornhub, MFC and Chaturbate used to basically all be the wild west in comparison.

I wound up writing three different contracts for the work I do, following along with templates that are pretty easy to find, plus a 2257 form. One is for work I own, one for work the model(s) will own and one for work that will be owned by a third party.  I've never, ever seen a model read the contracts, but I do spend a couple minutes letting them know that I get to keep anything I work on and that I'm allowed to show it to other people for at least purposes of demonstration and promotion.

Mainly, I just want say that it's trying to be above-board. It pays out better than any other adult service I'm aware of and I don't know of any horror stories about Onlyfans from the site itself. There are always going to be edge cases and that sucks, but those are down to individuals not the site as a whole.

You need a credit card to do anything on OnlyFans; it's the reason I quickly stopped trying to use it, because I'm not handing over that kind of information to that kind of a site unless I'm satisfied that the information is completely separate from the rest of my bank information.

So it sounds like the parents have some explaining or research of their own to do so they can figure out why their kids have things that they usually need parental authorization to get.

You should probably google those terms to get a good idea. 100% fine to use your work computer or one you share with your SO.

Camwhores.com taught me it's nice to be able to have a conversation with the boobs you're ogling.  As long as you're not throwing out creepy stock phrases, they're often happy to talk back.

A top 10% account on OF is making somewhere around $1500 a month. Most of them really are interacting directly with subscribers. Personal relationships can definitely be a real thing if you don't already know the person you're subscribed to. Models on accounts that size REALLY DO notice how much interaction they get and fret over every lost sub.

I know a top .02% OF model in real life. She pays two part-time assistants to help deal with messages but she and her husband handle content creation and editing themselves. She just stopped taking requests when she got to a certain point, but she does still interact with high dollar tippers and people who buy a lot of content from her. Common sense comes into play with that stuff; you're not getting personal communication from, say, Lana Rhoades, but the hottie you know from reddit or the strip club? Yeah, you probably are.

In the UK, you can get a debit card at age 11, which will likely meet that requirement.
