Democrats either need to purge quislings like Sinema, or accept that they exist to prop up the Republican party as controlled opposition.

She's the one you make an example of. Manchin is a more delicate problem but Sinema has no leverage. Just frickin strip her of her responsibilities and make her wash dishes for the rest of her term.

When asked if challenging Sinema was worth the risk of losing the seat to a Republican, Gomez didn't flinch.

"We already have a Republican in that seat," she said.

Boom

What? A politician lied?
I am so disappointed.

Luckily, unlike In WVa with Manchin, Dems DO have a good chance of kicking Sinema out with a primary and then winning the general

...sadly, this won't be an available option for many more years

In the meantime, let's abolish the Senate, shall well?

It's time for Democrats to start running fake Republican candidates who will switch parties after elected. In the current voter climate all you need to do to win big with republicans is shout derpier derp louder than you opponent. They can hire some out of work actors to do it. I'm told they're all liberals.

With McConnell as minority leader, bipartisanship does not exist with a Democrat as president.  Pretending like it does slows everything down, and costs real progress for this country.  You want to be a moderate?  Fine, but focus your energy on tempering overly ambitious legislation, rather than holding out hope for enough Republicans to suddenly decide that governing (rather than "winning") is important.

It probably won't happen because there's no one with statewide name recognition but I would love to see an actual Democrat challenge Manchin here in WV. Problem is we're stuck with him for 3 more years and a lot will happen between now and then. With that said, he's still better than EVERY republican and he knows it. I have to vote for him if he wins the primary because any republican who is on the general election ballot against him would be true scum. AG Morrissey would love to have the job and he's total shiat. Same goes for all three House members, especially Mooney. Both of them are trump-sucking scum.

Out of work actresses would be a better Idea.  Republicans like their men old and rich.

FTFA:
The Democrat began her career as a member of the Arizona Green Party

There's your problem. The Green Party is nothing but a GOP supported scam to siphon off D votes so the R's can win elections. I wouldn't trust any politician who started in the Green Party - they know what they're farking doing.

Just the Senate.
House of reps stays.

It works for New Zealand just fine
And several states have what amounts to unicameral legislatures: Arizona, Idaho, Maryland, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Washington - as well as Nebraska which has a true unicameral government.

If you still have a president who can veto and an independent court system that can overturn unconstitutional laws, what's the problem?

You'd think people would learn this by now.  Politicians LIE, they CHEAT, they STEAL, and they send your children to die in wars to support the interests of their wealthy friends.  It doesn't matter which side of the coin they are on, it's still the same coin.  They don't care one whit about you or anything you believe.  In the end, your vote doesn't even matter because in case you haven't noticed, nothing of significance changes.  Poor and ignorant is the preferred condition of voters, why do you think the quality of education has been declining steadily in the past several decades.  The funny part is that whether it's capitalist or socialist, the only difference is that the socialist leaders lie more about how wealthy they are and that they openly ignore laws that are made "for your protection"  The phrase "A law for thee, but not for me." comes to mind when I look at how things are going in places like AZ, CA, and DC for that matter.   For example no masks on senators and congress critters demanding that everyone else wear them.  Some of them actually seen removing their masks the moment they think the camera is off them and it's not just the Rep's but the Dems as well.  Hypocrisy pure and simple across the board.  So don't feel bad when your new senator doesn't vote like you expected or wanted her to, she was never going to do that anyway.

But, but, but....I keep getting told by everyone outside the state that Paula Jean or Ojeda can totally beat Joe in a primary!!!

/in 2018 I had an Uber driver in DC ask me who was going to win, Joe or PharmaBro Morrisey
//He was completely stunned when I said "Joe" with no hesitation
///Joe has that seat until he quits or dies

What? A politician not fulfilling their campaign promises? this NEVER happens! Love the 'poor democrat' angle of the article tho. Almost like they want us to think that one half of the two-headed uni-party is worth caring about.
