There was a time when kittens nearly went extinct in Murica.

Well, it does look pretty flimsy.
I mean, look how thin that material is.

Indeed. Look up his second wife.

Much like the album Frampton Comes Alive, that poster was standard issue for every male under the age of 20 living in the suburbs in the 70s.

It is crazy that Charlie's Angels was giggle tv back in the 70's. That was a minuscule amount of giggle compared to what is on network tv today. Just imagine getting into a time machine, going to the 70's and showing people an episode of Baywatch. It would be like

Farrah was the inspiration for the song "Midnight Train to Georgia."

Museum: We want iconic swimsuit that Farrah Fawcett wore in the poster.
Designer: I didn't like that one, I'll give you something different.
Museum: You need to stop smoking crack. You don't understand basic things like how museums work and why people go to them.

I would figure a designer would know, only put out design you're happy with. The client always picks the one you think is the worst.

You misspelled "Edith Head", the real inspiration for Edna Mode.

And far more interesting than Norma What's-her-bangs.

11 year old me managed to wrangle that poster when it came out.  I wasn't quite sure what those weird feelings were when I looked at it, but I didn't mind them.

My business partner and I had a meeting once with a very wealthy lifelong entrepreneur who, in addition to starting numerous successful companies over 50 years, was notably, no shiat, a co-inventor/investor of the first commercially successful mechanical bulls - the ones used in Urban Cowboy.

Anyway, we were having dinner with this guy and he was regaling us with these amazing stories of his 70s and 80s adventures when he mentions that he dated Farrah Fawcett at her peak.

My Partner: "Holy shiat. That's amazing, because...uh...no offense, man, but...uh...well, you're no Lee Majors or Ryan O'Neal.

Guy: (laughs) "Yeah, you're right about that. I guess I must looked better sitting on my wallet."

Me: "Expensive relationship?"

Guy: "I dropped $1MM in the six months we were together."

Partner: "Was it worth it?"

Guy: "Every farkin' penny."

It was the '70s. Women with big blonde hair and no bra on were so popular then that people actually somehow thought that Jennifer was more attractive than Bailey.

I know, madness.

I need to research all the movie genres that no longer exist because we have porn.
Basically the varying degrees of subtlety of trying to have attractive women in bikinis or filmy clothes. Or a single panty shot. Or a hint thereof to get it past grandma and the Church Council.

Funny how Fark allows this, but when I post a pic of some women wearing lingerie that revealed far less I get banned for 24 hours. But hypocrisy is nothing new for this site.

The Mods don't like your taste in women would be my guess.
