People who do not get vaccinated are Pirates?

"Police in rural India have made some citizens who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus wear signs with a skull and crossbones"

This is in maximum poor taste.

Is that like a letter of marque? Can they be pirates now?

Here the antivaxxers usually label themselves with really stupid red hats.  Also, in before the antivaxx derpsquad shows up.

If the vaccine was widely available over there, then I wouldn't care.  But it isn't, so that's shiatty of them.

But they should totally do that here.  The vaccine is farking free here in the USA, and we have so many doses we are giving them away.  The unvaccinated should wear skull and crossbones here.  Fark them, plague rats, they have no excuse for their behavior.

Maybe all the unvaccinated should be helped by giving them a Hindu Good Luck Symbol to wear, like an armband.

The policy has provoked anger online, with social media users calling it an "insult" and "stigmatising".

Yeah, and?

He already is.

"Nationalist" in this case implies "not Muslim or Sikh."

I'd be happy to wear an 'I'm vaccinated" sticker, but can I pass on carrying the Indian flag and calling myself a nationalist?

Sort of like a caste system, but in this case, it's just a little bandage.

They should do this in America. It's so free here that any given person could get all 3 major versions at different places and no one would notice or care. The only reason to not do is that you are a farking piece of human shiat that should just farking die anyway - also known as "most right wingers"

Hmmm.... Seems like India is designating their poor, rural citizens as "untouchable".

Seems familiar....

at one time in America, for the safety of all involved, there would be Quarantine signs affixed to the front doors of households which were afflicted. this common sense safety practice was stopped by the ACLU due to reasons. I suspect whoever was then in charge of Russia held a party that day.

RolfBlitzer: Indiana has really gone down hill.

Rural Indiana has always been a wasteland full of nothing but corn, soy, and overt racial prejudice.  Not much more downhill they can go.

Can we do that here?

"India, the world's largest vaccine maker, is suffering with supply issues after exporting tens of millions of shots, including donations to smaller nations"

Sounds like they heeded the several Farkers who were decrying the U.S. for attempting to vaccinate its own population before exporting to others. They must have been rewarded with a good-sized supply of internet high-fives, and that's what really matters.

When I see an anti-vaxxer on TV I instinctively flash them the Hawaiian Good Luck Sign.

There are some Benchods around here that were bragging on what a good job India had been doing that came off as either Modi bots or Blame America Firsters

Maybe a better approach would be to offer incentives to get vaccinated.  Maybe offer to send them some pics of bobs and vageen?

I don't know, I think we should do that here. For anyone that refuses the shot without good cause.

Yep. The Dallas/FW area is begging people to get shots. They're everywhere here, yet we have about a 45% vax rate. Hell, went to Costco a couple of weeks ago and vaccines are available instantly at the pharmacy. The unvaccinated should be shamed here. There's no excuse. India is another discussion.

It's India, and apparently they failed at step one, which was have enough vaccines to vaccinate everyone with.

So they're running with blame the victim instead.

Yeah, and? This is the appropriate response to that behavior.

That behavior should be stigmatized. That's the point.
