He'll probably pull a hammy during the trade physical.

traded from the Yankees IL to another team's IL.

They're 33-29. They're 5.5 games out of first place.

Little early to be dancing on their grave.

did you miss the day in April when we had THREE threads in one day about the Yankees being in last place in the AL? It's Fark, and there's no shortage of people that will revel in any slightest misfortune for the Yankees.

They were 33-27 last season, so they really haven't improved since last year. Add to that the Red Sox look to be for real and the Rays still own you* and I'm not exactly feeling chipper if I'm a Yankees fan.

* fun fact: the most HRs in Yankee Stadium this year is by... a Tampa Bay Ray.

So you are saying they have a chance?

All but one of their hitters are hitting like pitchers and they're over .500. I figure it's more likely they heat up than cool down.

Not so sure I'm buying the Red Sox just yet. The bats look legit, but that starting rotation, which would have been exciting around 2017 but looked really dicey heading into the season, is experiencing a best-case scenario, including full health for a bunch of guys known to be injury-prone.

Judge is hitting and his contract is $10,000,000.  They need lefthanded hitting but what's the catch?

Farkin' A right. I'll be doing the happy dance all the way until the Yankees miss the playoffs. And if they make the playoffs, it will be the day they're eliminated. If that makes me a bitter-ass hater, I'll wear that label with pride. Better that than a front-running Yankees fan.

It's too bad Yankee Elimination Day isn't Opening Day like it is for my Buccos, but it's worth waiting for, especially when they give hope to Yankee fans. Watching spoiled Yankee fans deflate like a Patriots football is exquisite.

I won't deny their existence in the wider world, but how many of those do you know on Fark? The small handful that will actually admit to being Yankee fans here, like myself, tend to be lifers.

I'd say send him to Atlanta, but we need a closer.  On the other hand, maybe we need to score 20 runs a game to not blow it, so get him.

We need a whole bullpen to go with that closer
