No, but it does appear to be well run and I love the eclectic range of vehicles that are available

I seem to remember it being mostly obscure, older stuff a while back, but it's basically Barrett-Jackson Lite these days.

I have heard good stuff about Doug DeMuro's new auction site, carsandbids.com

(not an endorsement, but among my gearhead friends, it has a good reputation).

I liked the site better when it was just a place people posted rough project cars and they didn't run auctions.

Exactly. It went from "Bring a trailer because it doesn't run" to "Bring a trailer because it's too nice to drive" in the blink of an eye.

On the plus side, they saved money by keeping the same domain.

It's not quite what BaT was, but looks to me like https://barnfinds.com/ is a good place to look for the weird and rough now.

I don't own a trailer and I think I would get in trouble if I brought another car home.

i made the mistake of buying a car from states away via eBay. the Title was from the original owner, a woman in Georgia, while the Seller was a guy in Long Island. major hassle getting it Titled in Ohio. this is the worst car purchase i made in my life. i am old and have owned easily 40 cars. Mrs. Swimo never misses a opportunity to tell me how much she hates my Model 944. she won't even go for a ride in it. Thanks, honey!

Yes. And Ebay, Craigslist, car dealers, etc. I'm in the classic car repair/restoration business and I check out cars that are for sale online for people (preferably before they buy) often. There is as much to be learned from what isn't said as from what is stated but recognizing what info is missing is something that comes from experience. Suffice it to say if the ad doesn't state a certain repair has been done then assume that it hasn't. If it had been they would proudly state that in the ad. I can also tell you that the car dealers I know do not want to hear the findings of any pre-purchase inspection I do on one of their cars for a prospective purchaser. Their logic is that if they aren't aware of an issue with the car they are not obligated to tell a prospective buyer. They can claim ignorance when you point out an issue.
