There's nothing on Venus deserving that much attention...

Venus is often described (unfairly) as Earth's "evil twin". Almost the same size as our home planet, it's hellishly hot and dry. It's nothing like the lush blue orb on which we live.

And it's this stark difference that poses the question that all three missions will aim to answer - why so?

Because it's closer to the sun?

Nice.
That planet is both so similar and different from earth that it's a shame we haven't been able to study the hell out of it yet.

that's not the whole story either since mercury is colder than venus.

Because the dinosaurs that lived there got the job done in turning it into Hell and weren't stopped by a meteor like on Earth.

/dinosaurs on Venus were commonly believed from Victorian times till way too late in the 20th century
//probably when the Russians got there
///I don't think you can measure the heat from Earth.  Too much cloud layer.

I'd do some probes of the mons of venus. Especially now that the pandemic has abated.

Venus is hotter than Mercury which is much closer to the Sun than Venus. Venus is vastly warmer than you would expect from its distance from the Sun. The reason is that Venus has a runaway greenhouse effect. The probes are wanted to investigate why Venus has a thick carbon dioxide atmosphere and thus hellish conditions.
