Publicly posting the story, using actual names, after paying for the three "chips" seems to be a logical step.

Eating chips? No, silly. You're supposed to let Bill Gates inject you with chips. DUH!

I hope Alex has a lot of friends, because I'll bet that he now has one fewer.

I've really missed out. All my life, I've experienced vaguely annoying shiat like this and just moved on, when I could have been reporting it to The Mirror or The Sun or The Daily Mail.

Apparently, those publications are fascinated by the commonplace social interactions that everybody has had. I guess when they're not busy being racist assholes about former Prince Harry's half-black wife, this is the kind of thing they prefer to focus on, awkward social encounters created by weirdos with no self-awareness.

I just spent a few days visiting old friends, and we didn't split a check the entire time. Everyone fought to pay every tab, every time.  We wound up taking turns picking up the whole check.  Over the week, some of us paid more, and some of us didn't pay anything.  Nobody cared.

Maybe there's more to this story, like, the guy was annoyed that his friend ate his chips?

One experience I had once, was my friend asking if he could have some of my chips. He could.

But then he took a whole package of my dipping sauce, which annoyed me, because it only came with two, and I had already used most of the first. :/
