Yeah, I can only watch so much of that at one time myself. But that quote is spot on though.

He's absolutely correct.

Just curious. With online video, is there any point to remarks being "stricken from the record"?

I couldn't say about nihilism, because his voice grated on my nerves so bad I couldn't make it more than a minute through the first episode.

Now do Pam Poovey and say damn, dawg, that's inappropes!

More pop culture needs to be quoted in legislatures. I remember sneaking in some Beavis and Butthead lines to my old boss' speeches, including one where he accused the other side not being about substance but just being out to entertain us.

Heh heh. He said anus.

FatherChaos: "BIATCHES NEED TO STOP HAVING SEX!"

-Striken from the record

This logic always bothered me. If women stop having sex, then men need to either stop having sex or have gay sex. Men "getting some" relies on women having sex, but they're going to shiat on the women that take care of their "need".

To the GOP, "facts" are an act of censorship and an act of aggression. This is not an exaggeration, partly because we have a party that doesn't know what an "opinion" is. You can have an opinion about reality, but you can't have an opinion that goes against reality. Yet when you try to lay a little reality on a Republican, they accuse you of trying to censor their opinion.

Careful conditioning has done this. A steady diet of political theater has done this. As Pharaoh says it, so it is written. They don't believe in belief.

Don't let the 'logic' bother you that the same arseholes who blame women for the consequences of sex are the ones nagging them for sex in the first place, or getting rapey when told 'no' and opposing consent education for young men, and also opposing providing contraception to folks who might actually use it. They are intellectually and morally inconsistent because their real agenda is just hating women, young people and pretty well everyone who isn't one of them. Getting bothered by their logic, or the complete lack thereof, is a waste of time.

Getting bothered by their very existance on the other hand and being motivated to remove them from power is definitely worthwhile.

No, see they have wives.  Sex is evil and sinful and bad, right up until the moment the couple (man and woman, of course) is married, then it magically becomes ok.  They just want the unmarried people to stop having sex, and if the majority of the people they are targeting just happens to be minorities well that's just a coincidence.  It's totally not because they're terrified that the minorities will outbreed them and treat them the way they've always treated the minorities.

/ yeah, let's tell people to just stop doing what we are all hardwired to do, that will totally work

Women need to start leaving babies on the door steps of the guys who knocked them up. Hospitals need to start billing the guy who donated the sperm. Women going through divorce need to stop taking custody of children. "I don't want these kids. I never wanted these kids. I wanted an abortion and the government wanted me to have these kids."

You say that as if logic was ever involved. That type has always been about womens' sexuality being repressed, them never having sex if not for reproduction, get married off asap to "keep them out of trouble" and so on, while the men are encourage to go outand sow their wild oats then congradylating the men when they do so while at the same time slut-shaming the women who also take part.

It's only nihilism if it is from Nihilist region of France. Otherwise, it is just sparkling apathy.

It was sad and horrifying.
