Remove it, and concentrate on education.

The odd thing about it happening at University of Michigan is how much they acted like this could never, ever, possibly happen to them because they are "The leaders and best".  Yet, here we are.

Wait, Bo ignored his own kid's accusations, of a guy who was later proven to be a diddler?

If my kids ever came to me and had an accusation of that magnitude, I would get to the bottom of the matter very quickly and if proven true, there'd be one less abuser.

It will be interesting to see who resists taking his name off everything on campus.

In the Freep article, it states Bo said he needed this doctor on his staff. No, he needed "a" doctor on staff, not this guy. Why do people protect criminals? I can at least see the reasoning when the person is in a position of power above you. And in 1969, Bo didn't have the cache and reputation that he later had, maybe he was worried about his own job if he said something while only being there a few months. Still, I don't get it. If this happened to my family, this would only be in the news today because somebody just found the doctor's body in the bottom of Ford Lake.

I don't get that either.  It's not like it would be hard to find a replacement doctor.  So the conspiracy theorist in me wonders why he wanted that particular doctor?  Who the fark was Bo raping?

Say what you will about the "S E C S E C S E C" fanbase, but for the most part, the majority of SEC scandals revolve around payola and coverups. The B1G has had some major issues with pedos running rampant on campus. Not to mention the issues of player abuse at Illinois (my grad alma mater), Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, and Rutgers(?).

It's pervasive because, "Hey, so long as my program is winning, who gives a f**k?!"

Baylor should've had their men's BB program given the death penalty for multiple offenses.

Penn State should've been, not the the death penalty, but the strictest sanctions possible after what happened there with Sandusky and Paterno.

Ohio State and Michigan State? Same.

You know I've always wondered about this:

So baseball has had a minor league system since before the Great Depression and have profited both on and off the field for it.

I would think, with so much money at stake, it would benefit the NFL from the same.

At least the NBA has the G-League, overseas and (formerly) the CBA to pluck talent from.

Well, possibly that, or there exists the belief that to jump on a Michigan fan for this would be unfair because I'd essentially be saying they would support it. The ivory tower holier than thou Michigan Man garbage is bullshiat and it has always been bullshiat but I'm friends with plenty of Michigan fans in real life and never has it crossed my mind that they'd personally look the other way on something like this. Same thing with those of the opposition on here, I'm going to give somebody a hard time over something outside of their control and that they would not support anyways? It's also probably easier to get the diagnoses you need when you can threaten to expose the doctor for his actions.

I don't know what's worse. The actual diddler or the guy who had some knowledge of it and chose to ignore it, let alone being told by his own son.

The guy with knowledge.

The diddler is bad, possibly mentally ill, possibly can't stop themselves.  The guy with knowledge knows it's bad, but ignores it for reasons,

Note, not defending the diddler.  They definitely need to be dealt with.

News flash, the starting point guard wasn't the thing stopping you from being the big man on campus who pulled all the girls.
If athletes weren't on campus, she would have gone after a frat guy, a pre-med student, or even a townie.

And given the ethnic makeup of the majority of student athletes, that sentiment also comes off as kinda racist.

Fair enough; now here's the trick:  if certain people within the program go to the hilt for Bo, would you renounce Michigan for it?

I know you would, but I reckon that there are certain marks that would treat this the way the Capitol riot on 1/6 happened and state "It's time to move on."
