Much more likely than it being Rush, and I prefer it to be Jesus rubbing one out.

Joke's on them. The other place doesn't have Fast Radio Bursts.  So it's not Rush.

How do you know?

Your assumption, I'm guessing, is that God is a benevolent deity.  I've got some pretty decent evidence, based on the Bible, Torah, and Quran, that he isn't.

Think about it:  Why would the one supreme being, supposedly benevolent, splinter his believers into many different factions and set them to fighting and killing one another?

Wouldn't a God like that reward someone like Rush Limbaugh with eternity in paradise?

Why would a God like that honor his promises after the fact?

Yes, because God is actually the evil liar and Lucifer is the good one we should be worshiping.

God is a boson that gives us mass, according to my religion. The other religions are based on made up stories, so any made up story should do. Using the made up stories from the TV show Lucifer, he doesn't seem like that bad a guy, why not worship him? The other stories are anti-Lucifer propaganda by people who don't like fun.

How would you know the difference?

Seriously, think about it.  Maybe BSAB.  Or maybe good lost the fight against evil, simply because of a better PR campaign.

I mean, sure.  "Love thy neighbor".  Yet actual religious wars among the Abrahamic religions have been so common over the last two millennia that "religious war" has become a metaphor. Even The Rolling Stones sang about it ("I watched with glee while your kings and queens fought for ten decades for the gods they made").

I'm sure you can point to all manner of good things and claim God is responsible, but what if that's the result of benign neglect?  God was too busy screwing over someone else at the time.

Or maybe it's like how casinos have to allow you to win sometime in order to keep you gambling.  If you never won, you'd stop playing, right?  If God is truly omnipotent, maybe the good things that happen to you are just a reward system to keep you worshipping.  And yeah, some people hit the jackpot.

Or maybe that's God rewarding the assholes for being assholes.

Maybe Lucifer doesn't exist, he's just God's Emmanuel Goldstein, a foil to direct the hatred and fear of God's worshippers.

Quite frankly, to be perfectly honest, I don't believe in magical sky wizards.  But I can make a pretty good argument that if one existed, based on the holy scriptures of the 3 major Abrahamic religions and their history of bloody conflict right up to this very farkin' day, that if he did exist, he's an asshole.

Add together Lucifer, Supernatural, and the Shadows from Babylon 5.  Hell, maybe throw in the Vorlons for good measure.
