You know. It's the red eyes that freak me out the most. If they could lose that, I could almost eat one.

So. The Cicada God, the god of Flesh, Blood, and Glass, has arisen. Containment measures have failed.

The insect rises to devour us all.

It is time to initiate Protocol Damnatio ad Bestias. May God forgive us once we have killed him once and for all.

Getting back to that CNN article, those flying pests can be really annoying . . . the cicadas, too.

Fox would lose their minds if they new the real reason why Joe and Jill decided to go on their first Eurotrip.

No.

We do the one thing our species is best at.

We hunt them to extinction.

(Plus, supposedly they're delicious! I'll have to pry the red eyes off first, like removing pickles from hamburgers.)

Cicadas are their new hoax.

Cyclical insect species are one of my favorite examples of how the natural world is beautifully governed by mathematics.

The number of years a cyclical species hibernates is almost always a prime number, because this gives them less chance of emerging in a predation cycle as well as less chance of accidentally breeding with another cyclical species and producing inviable offspring.

damnit researcher destructor, read the database! Trying to exterminate it brings it into this world. The only way to stop a god is to kill them all.

Starting with catholic god.

That was the plot arc that made me drop the series. Surprised I made it that far after the horrid Thinker arc.

Bah! My 800 year sea cucumber army will arise once again just to disprove your prime number theory

Who's more bored: a cicada slumbering underground for 17 years, or a Greenland shark drifting slowly under the Arctic ice for 400 years?

Cicada-Man....only relevant every 7 years and then can only control a swarm that lives a few months and then goes back onto hibernation......still more useful than Aquaman
