I'm not sure that would have held up as a gift anyway. AIUI, since 1950, the Academy retains ownership of all Oscar statuettes. Brando's wins were in '54 and '72.

More evidence that Keanu Reeves is just a really good guy.

I have my doubts that John Goodman would have been able to fit into a Mazda Miata back in 1989. A buddy of mine in Spain drove me around in his, and I basically had my knees in my chest at 6'1"  and 200 Lbs. in the passenger seat.

A really fat lawyer in my hometown got one right when they came out. He came in to where I worked (a clothing store) and my boss said "That car looks good on you."

A guy I know worked for Maryland sound and toured and was one on a handful of live sound engineers for Pink Floyd (sans Roger Waters).

He said they were very generous at tours end.

I worked on The Resident a couple years ago and for the last week different cast members got us Food/Dessert trucks each day. Unexpected free food is just about any crew person's favorite thing. Expected free food is their second favorite.

The Keanu Reeves story seemed a little too good to be true, even for Keanu, and a quick Google search suggests it is, in fact, an urban legend, although he did give away Harley's.

Most of those are just dumb. Why buy Tracy Morgan a Rolex? Was his Rolex pile just one Rolex from perfection?

Are you telling me that some "journalist" on the internet didn't even make an attempt at basic fact checking and instead promulgated some falsehood which was taken as the gospel truth by dim-witted readers?

Interesting, everytime I have left a job, the only thing I've gotten is a slip of paper telling me how close I am "legally" allowed to be to the building.

#1 is great. Who wouldn't want a Rolex with "Thanks, motherfarker" inscribed on it?

Sam Raimi gave everyone a limited reprint (made by Marvel Comics) of Amazing Fantasy #15, signed by Stan Lee (but NOT Steve Ditko)...

On SM2, he gave them a piece of the 79 costumes, at a square foot each, with each piece of that character's costume signed by Lee...

On SM3 he gave them $1,000 each in cash.

BUT... on Venom, Tom Hardy gave all 562 (I looked it up) VFX artists, and all "Joes" a REAL copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300... signed by McFarlane, Michelinie and Tom DeFalco. With McFarlane drawing a Venom insignia across it, and Michelinie writing "IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ANN!" on it.

BUT... if you worked on Spawn (1997)... McFarlane gave away a Spawns (his CYHL team) hockey jersey signed by Wayne Gretzky. Oh. And $1,000 cash.

/Winner? A limited run (400 copies) of Giant-Sized X-Men #1 printed in ruby, sapphire, emerald and topaz-based ink for X-Men: The Last Stand to the physical crew. Paid for by Bryan Singer (about $4m dollars). Actors got... their costumes.
