Larry Walker is going into the HOF? Not the most stellar hitting numbers for an OF/1B. Just sayin. Don't get me wrong -  good hitter, very nice career. But those lifetime offensive numbers just aren't that fantastic next to lots of other HOF dudes in those position groups. I'd put him in the hall of very good.

Ok, seeing now that he barely made it and in his final year of eligibility.

Ugh, thanks phone.

313/400/565, good for a 141 ops+, and a very good defender with six gold gloves.

I feel sorry for the locals.  That place is going to be utterly swamped for Jeter's induction, and that town's infrastructure can't handle a normal induction year.

I don't know. Ask the writers who passed on him the first nine times and barely squeaked him in there on his last chance.

Yeah. They were wrong. Dude was great, but spent too much of his career either going unnoticed with Montreal or having all his stats doubted cause of altitude in Colorado.

Plus, he got hurt a lot, and voters loooove compiled stats. Still, hall of famer through and through.
