Why would he be afraid of running against Hillary? He promised to lock her up, and being a man of his word, I assume had already done so.

How did he think that would work?

FTA:

[The source of this conspiracy theory, per Bender, was Dick Morris, a former Clinton White House adviser who was "quietly advising Trump" last year.]

LOL Dick Morris.

That was very considerate of him.  What a nice guy.

What else did they have besides him being "Sleepy Joe Biden"?

Because neither of those people ran as a candidate.  Brilliant!

He assumed that the top dogs in the Democratic Party would have do a 19th-century style smoke-filled back room to decide the nomination.

Another publication legitimizing this piece of fascist shiat.   No, I don't care if it makes him look stupid.

We already knew that.

Yeah, I remember how everyone was saying how they were going to vote for Michelle once she announced her intent to run... Always thought she was awfully cheeky dropping that news while wakeboarding though.

Neither of those things were going to happen.  Hillary is done as a viable candidate (and thankfully, the influence of the Clinton machine is starting to wane though it has taken 30 years) and Michelle Obama wanted no part of politics after the hell she and her husband were put through over those 8 years.

Think?

I mean, the dude was already so afraid of Biden that he committed impeachable offenses of trying to strongarm an ally into manufacturing bullshiat evidence against him. If that's not a "strong attack," then what the hell would be?

I mean, aside from the Snowflake Rebellion.

Well, Rudy spent the better part of a year trying to dig up dirt on Hunter Biden and, when they couldn't find any, decided to make stuff up.

Beyond grade school-level nicknames, what does his attacking style look like?

And also apparently thought that if the DNC had done so, that it would have resulted in a more formidable opponent and also that Democrat voters would just fall in line and vote for whomever the DNC put in front of them more than they would for the rightful winner of the primaries.

A day on Fark would have cured him of that notion.

I almost wish Hillary had run and won the nomination, because Trump would ABSOLUTELY have tried to get his goons to lock her up, but given their history, they would have farked it up so badly that Trump would have somehow ended up behind bars instead.

There is plenty to hate, but with the fascist lies about her, which are mostly driven by sexism.  It's really hard to hate her and not seem like a Trumper. Even though she has done some pretty farked up things with her foreign policy agenda and time spent working with Walmart and over all is a scumbag just like her husband.

I dunno, a lot of the people in question seemed to want the DNC to just hand Bernie the nomination when the primaries had barely started.

/Would have voted for Bernie or Warren if they were still in the race by the time my state got around to holding a primary.

Trump afraid of HRC? I don't see why? He already beat her once -- Michelle Obama, though? Sure -- I could see him p***ing his Depends a little more than normal over that scenario...

In the end, that just goes to show you the power of bias  -- Joe was the one to be afraid of, all the time, it seems  -- another Old White male. How are you supposed to gin up enough fear & loathing??

In the general, rather. Of COURSE I voted for him in the primary, he was the only one left by that point.

DNRTFA but this sounds like bullshiat.  Trump's camp was clearly betting on Biden being the nominee and started their Ukraine/China/Hunter plots even before the primaries concluded.

My grandparents really hated her because she was child of privilege and was a Goldwater staffer. She was alternately an "opportunistic faker" or a "traitor to her kind".

I'm certain that misogyny is a major factor because, for reasons I can't otherwise understand, these accusations didn't apply to Trump - who they voted for just before they died.

Isn't this really f*cked up, though? Why are we denied the opportunity to vote for the candidates we want? Why are some states allowed to vote before others? Is that not inherently unfair and undemocratic?

Hillary hate is just a variation on the same theme: that Conservatives think everyone who opposes them is the worst person in the world, especially if they seem in any way 'uppity' about it.

Hillary hate? How dare you defy us! You're just a woman?!

Obama hate? How dare you defy us! You're just a blah man?!

Now Kamala hate? How dare you defy us! You're just a BLAH WOMAN!?!?!

Oh, it absolutely is, and there's no damn reason that the primaries SHOULDN'T be held on the same day (or over the same period of time, to allow for as many people to vote as possible).

These are lies the Trump people tell themselves to rationalize their loss.

What did they hold back?  They got Trump impeached chasing Biden dirt in Ukraine and spent the better part of a year yelling about Hunter's laptop and telling us Joe was a vegetable.
