1) Yes, on the older trains, drop chutes are still in use, but they have been phasing them out now for the better part of a decade. The UK finally phased out their last drop chutes in 2017, so it's not like this is only something that is found in China.

2) Valves don't work that way. The air direction specifically prevents drop chutes from reversing (think a large venturi with a check valve)

3) This is definitely not the case on any of the CRH high speed trains.

I did wonder what he was blethering about when I read his comment. And if it's about train toilets that evacuate onto the track, well, yeah, the place you don't use them is in the station. Because you've essentially just taken a dump on the tracks in a station.

You should only flush them when the train is moving.

Although I've heard anecdotes that straight-drop train toilets are good for a kind of biodiversity. Tomato seeds pass through the human body unmolested and when flushed from a train, with a fine kind of fertiliser.

/Think I've heard mentions of tomato plants growing wild beside railways from QI and, IIRC, from Shaun Ryder of the Mondays relating tales of his misspent youth.

Ah, yes, "why I'm here." The typical American response to anyone of Asian heritage that disagrees with them is to call them a Wumao. You do know I post more often in threads that have nothing to do with China, right? Also, this bill is a good thing. I have no issue with TMSC and Intel moving more fabs to the US. High-paying, high-skill jobs which provide ROIs on all those red states they are setting up shop in.

Arizona should be happy about another $250 billion of tax payer funds being thrown in the direction of big tech.

As for the rest of your screed, please keep watering down the meaning of genocide. The Holocaust deniers are celebrating your continued watering down of that word into essentially nothing. So, way to be on the side of Nazis?

PS., Even the Democrats are largely meh about the Uighyur situation. See, Americans hate Muslims more than any other country on Earth.

While I do appreciate the idea of China's infrastructure being built in record time so they could be a more productive country, let's also not forget that China built it so fast because they are a single party Communist Republic that laughs at the concept of safety regulations and labor laws.

To build as fast as China does, you'd have to quite literally not give a shiat about the safety and lives of the people building them.
