Good. Let's hope that brings back some offense so we don't have to put up with gimmicks.

Bauer deserves any bad thing that happens to him. Epic, but rich, douche.

I remember when Bauer was a Snake, in I think his 2nd or 3rd career start, he shook off our 1 or 2 time All-Star catcher, who was not pleased.  after the game he was quoted, when asked abotu getting shaken off, as something like "hey, I've been playing in the bigs for 8 years, 1-2 time All Star.  It's his third start.  Why should he listen to me?  I don't know much about baseball."

after he was traded, there were reports that he basically blew off the team's pitching coach(es) and basically considered his dad his pitching coach. the organization basically got fed up with his non-responsiveness and moved him.

of course, you could always say, "well, it seems to have worked out well for Bauer, and where are your Snakes now, ricky?"  and i have no counter to that.  just saying his MLB tenure got off to a rocky start and the team eventually was like, "yeah, fark this shiat."  it's clear who won that battle.

Here is baseball reference for runs per game.  Look at that drastic drop in runs per game over the years

I'm honestly getting bored with home runs. Find different ways to score, people!

Great news; I was getting tired of the "balls aren't being put into play" whiners and I welcome the return of the "baseball games take too long" whiners.

Didn't Bauer openly declare that he was going to cheat unless MLB cracks down?

Oak:

As a baseball fan I say

Pitch timers
Getting into the batters box timers
Home team picks if there's a dh 5 min before first pitch (both leagues)
Ties
Can only dress 3 relievers
Pinch hitters/runners must play out rest of game baring injury

To be fair, Miguel Montero was kind of a dick.

/apparently he pouted about not getting enough playing time after winning the world series with the cubs.
