Don't do it, Wawa.

Their 'cheesesteak' are food-ish in that they probably won't kill you, but they are just not up to a decent Philly standard.

So long as they aren't trying to pass it off as a Philly, what's the harm?

/Never been to a Wawa.

Their cheesesteaks are unremarkable. There are much better options. Hell, I'd prefer one of the heat lamp sausage egg and cheese on a croissants.

But damn them to hell for not carrying Wise brand chips.

I like customizing hoagies on that kiosk thing.

You know, I've said this before - but your user name and avatar are brilliant.  I can't help but chuckle every time I see you post.

Anyway, as a fellow Floridian I agree that Wawa sandwiches are actually not to bad.  For Florida anyway.

hehe, thanks!  I was born in Philly but we never did the Wawa thing back then.  Then a few years ago one opened up down here that was right on my way to work and I could easily customize a hoagie and grab coffee on my way in.

I think I like the 'ol Publix sub better, overall, but those are not near as convenient.  Unless you hit it when the deli area isn't crowded with orders.

FTA: For all the love Wawa has gotten thanks to the HBO hit TV show "Mare of Easttown," the popular Pennsylvania convenience store chain is giving a little back.

Was Wawa even mentioned on the show?

FTA: It's a nod to how spicy the show is, Wawa said in a statement.

Did this person even watch the show?

As for Wawa, I'll echo what I say in other Wawa threads.  If you absolutely need gas and food at the same location or have been out drinking all night, then Wawa hits the spot.  Otherwise, there is likely a much better option nearby.  Their food is entirely mediocre, and the quality control has gone to shiat.

If you live in the SE PA area and get your cheesesteaks from Wawa, please leave. You are no longer welcome here.

Is anyone still in SE PA actually there voluntarily?

I love that farking kiosk thing. well, did, in the before-times. I don't know if it's simply this-our-plague-era or other logistical/marketing because-reasons, but apparently they discontinued their consistently-perfect egg salad (yes, yes, I know I been roundly mocked more than once on foodtab for gas station egg salad - but it is(was) seriously some of the best I've ever had, including what I make my-ownself t'home.)

not even sure what I'd get there now. their tuna salad is farking mediocre watery tasteless at best, and the one 'crost the street from us never once has had any non-meat options in the premade breffist/etc. croissants/bagels.

haven't had a sanguich from them in probably a year? but we do run in for a late-nite gallon of milk or pint of their own-brand ice creams (decently priced, decent ingredients, decent tasting)
