"When they come into a chain or grocery store they pretty much push everybody else out. If you're getting Boar's Head products at your store it's either everything is Boar's Head or nothing is."

This isn't entirely true, at Publix you are offered your choice of Boar's Head or Publix meats on your subs, The Boar's head is an upcharge, I never noticed a discernable difference, I resent their snooty Grey Poupon attitude I won't buy their food

This case is definitely coming to a Boar's Head.

"Barbara Brunckhorst's dying wish was that a "substantial portion" of her stake in the meat company go to environmental charities and neuroscience research

Bischoff, however, allegedly says Barbara's shares should be his."

This is why we need to start eating the rich. Instead of donating the estate as she wished, he wants to keep it and just get richer. Fark this guy, and fark that mentality. This is why we can't have nice things in our society.

Came here to say this.  Not true in Fry's in Phoenix nor at the mom-and-pop Braymiller's here in NY.  They have different brands peacefully co-existing behind the deli glass.  Love their meats!  I hope they settle tings.

Boar's Head?  In a pigs ear.

/Sorry if this joke is too ham-fisted

Trivia. Boar's Head used to feature a tagline on their meat packaging, "Not without mustard."  That was a line from a Ben Jonson play, Every Man Out of His Humor. It was a joke aimed at Shakespeare who finagled a coat of arms for his family which featured the motto, "Not Without Right." The Boar's Head Tavern is where we first get to know Falstaff.

I haven't seen the tagline on their products for years. I may be imagining things, but their meat products don't seem as good anymore.

Higher end low-end lunch meat. I have seen them do the "us or b thing" thing at a couple lower chains. Not good for the stores. Not good for consumers
