Trivia on that song: It's physically impossible for a person to sing it through, they had to multi-track it. You can't go from the low notes to the high notes that quickly, as per the opera singer who performed it.

That scene is one of my all-time favorite movie scenes. The song is awesome, the opera singer who performed it totally nailed it, the fight scene fits perfectly in, and the editing is absolutely amazing, it's so tight it's pure perfection.

And I just want to add, all these singers who perform it (well, but still... They skip several notes because it IS physically impossible to perform every note of it in a live performance) don't seem to ever credit the actual composer, Eric Serra, who deserves a lot of credit for making a cultural staple out of a short scene in a sci-fi action movie.

Listen to the movie performance again: Every human performing it since then skips 1/3 of the notes in the long run of notes near the end.
