Was the guy asleep or what? Large mowers are not silent machines.

Council Gardener is the name of my Anglo-Brazilian Waxing Spa, so I'm really preemptively getting a kick out of these replies.

Later on they'll send a man out in a reflective vest to place cones around the unmown patch for safety.

I thought it was gonna turn out to be a corpse that they'd been mowing around for weeks.

Subby doesn't understand public sector.  We don't mow over people because there's too much paperwork involved, and then having to meet with HR, it gets annoying.  So easier to just mow around, and get the spot next week.

And they sometimes throw things at high rates of speed.

That is the scary thing about them. The noise can be ignored, but the possibly-dangerous/lethal flying objects can't be ignored.

Many years ago I was at a children's birthday party in a park. At one point a Twister mat was on the ground. During the party, someone showed up to start mowing and ran over the mat, shredding it. Parents were yelling but he just ignored them and kept right on mowing. Eventually, the whole party decided to leave as he was just circling the picnic tables, making tons of noise.

The trick now is to keep having someone lay on that patch every time the groundskeeper goes out to mow the lawn in an attempt to see how high the grass can get.

Two police officers on patrol in the centre of Ghent stumble upon a corpse next to Saint Bavo's Cathedral. One of them starts writing it up while his colleague tries to identify the man.

"Do you know how to spell Saint Bavo's Cathedral?"
"No. Don't you?"
"No."
"Let's drag him to the Belfry first!"

Prick decides not to move when the guy comes to mow the grass so mower mows around him covering him in clipping, smoke, and dust hoping he will move.

Kudos lawn mowing man.

My guess is he's an entitled prick that decided not to move because "I was here first".

Mower man knew what to do.

Back when I lived in De-Toilet I worked for Park & Rest......I was assigned to cutting the towns parks..it was fun for a while, till I almost ran over some drunk guy on a booze snooze. He'd was sleeping in the middle of this park I was cutting when he stands up it scared the living daylights out of me.......

That same guy made a point of ruining my relaxing lunch break in a park. Mowed the same area next to my picnic table eight or nine times in a successful effort to annoy me.

That was my first though.  Wouldn't want to be there when a large mower is throwing chunks of sticks & other stuff at me.

It's more a placeholder for the next mass shooting in America.
It won't be up long so should read something light hearted and mundane while you have a chance

It's not news it's fark.    Well at least it used to be

With my ztrac mower I managed to break a window from about 50ft away when a stone took flight.  I can only imagine the damage it would have done to some standing 3 ft away.
