In addition to being the most bandwagon fanbase in sports, Yankee fans are also the most entitled fanbase in sports by a huge margin.

On one hand, Boone has the easiest job in the world with the way the Yankees were set up. With everything being so analytically driven these days, if your players can stay healthy and produce like their baseball card says they can, you can just let the algorithms do the work. For years, it was pretty much a guarantee that you'll be in the ALCS.

I mean he had zero managing or coaching experience, and was working the broadcast booth when he was hired.

The Sox announcers were chortling when he used an injured Stanton as a pinch hitter the other night too, despite his being something like 2 for 29 as a pinch hitter.

But, you can't blame it all on Boone.  The Yankees have a terrible outfield, and just a generally weak hitting/poor hitting lineup.  Not your typical Yankees team.

Boone is just doing what the laptop in the front office tells him to. The formula says it will have all worked out by season end.

That was back in the days you could smoke weed in the upper deck of the old stadium and security would just ignore you. One time there was a fight above us in the top row. Some skinny red hat went up there and held his hat in the air to call for backup. After five minutes of being ignored, he gave up, the fight resolved itself, and my friends and I had a good laugh.

And by the way, you can wear a Red Sox jersey in Yankee Stadium and Yankee fans will still hold the door for you. You will face good natured ridicule. But the majority of Sox fans I see in the Bronx were obnoxious southies named Sully with that one Jewish kid from Newton. So maybe that Yankee fan stereotype needs a refresh.

Seeing Aaron F***ing Boone go from hero to heel among Yankee fans pleases me.

As for replacement managerial candidates, I hear Grady Little is available.  They should try that out.

I don't mind Boone, there's only so much you can do with the injuries they've totaled up the last couple years.

Given how solid their starting pitching in general has been and the quality of their bullpen, I wouldn't blame the fans either. Basically every single batter is underperforming except Judge, and he's been hurt a large portion of the last few seasons. Trotting out below average OPS for almost every position except RF and DH isn't gonna score many runs.

Frazier is finally get some burn and he's been terrible. Odor has been washed up for a few years at least. Torres' bat hasn't been up to compensating for his bad defense at SS. Lemahieu is completely 180 from where he's been the last five years or so. I don't know if firing Boone is the right answer, but they clearly need a change at hitting coach.

Just an old White Sox fan, fed up with the continual "Yankees this and Yankees that" crap. I don't care who wins the East and will tip my cap to the winner, as long as it isn't the Yankees. Now to switch over to ESPN and see if they are having a round table of assholes discussing "How to fix the Yankees", which will revolve around other teams immediately trading the Yankees all their star players for a bag of broken bats.
