Yeah but it's $50 of Canadian cheese so it's only like 80% cheese compared to American cheese.

No Cheese, no gift cards, I haven't even gotten my free doughnuts from Krispy Kreme.  All I got for my vaccination was protection from dying a horrible death.

I feel cheated :(

Man, all of these bonuses, but I've already gotten my vaccine, can't take advantage of any of them. :-) This one wouldn't work because I don't live in Canada, but all of the ones in the US are things I wouldn't qualify for.

Heh.

My state (WA) will raffle off various prizes....and there's no need for people to register if they have been vaccinated.

I'm in it to win it, baby!

/Would like some Seahawks tickets.
//But with my luck, I will win Mariners tickets.

Got my first dose Saturday, was joking with someone about how the US offers million dollar lotteries to entice people to get vaccinated, meanwhile Canada offers the vaccine.

Canada started slow, but is well above the US in the proportion with at least one dose and it hasn't levelled off yet. It isn't going to be that long until we are pushing past the US on the fully vaccinated rate.

Amusingly enough, a friend posted this on my Facebook wall shortly after I posted that:

Here in America proof of vaccination and $50 will get you $50 worth of cheese, so is it really that far off?

Well good for him.  He needs it, since COVID seems to disproportionately kill obese people.  Probably because they are all so pretty, sexy and healthy.

Good for them. My company not only worked on getting us set up with an early clinic but even offered to cover the transportation to and from the site (which was about a 70 dollar round-way uber trip). So that was pretty nice. The nicer part was no waiting in lines so the entire process took about 20 minutes, 15 of which was post-injection observation.
My company understands ain't nobody got time for that camping out for three hours in line crap. My company would prefer we spent that time getting stuff done, also that getting us vaccinated means less excuses for not coming in. ;)

Same here. But, I was raised Catholic so I was used to doing the best I could and not getting anything for it besides getting ridiculed by my parents.

Be truthful, is there really anything to be happy about when you don't have a free chunk of quality gnawin' cheese?
