That poor sheep... it looked so upset. :(

Except for the automatic weapons and sweatshops, that's pretty much my ideal Pokeyman game.

Not sure what that says about me as a person.

The assault weapons seem kinda out of place, given the otherwise medieval-ish feel of things, but it still looks like a fun game. I'm definitely planning on giving it a shot.

After watching that I'm wondering why Pokemon's lawyers aren't parachuting onto these guys by the platoon....
So strange, sweat shops alongside machine guns alongside pokemon working to build a house...

I just "accidentally" tripped people while they were "hunting" on Pokémon Go.

Because they don't own all collectable cute monsters?

Japanese copyright law is more of what you would consider 'guidelines'

You're thinking of China. Japan has strict copyright laws, just try making a Mario game. This is probably protected as a parody.

Yeah. On one hand, copyrights are strict. On the other hand, it don't take much alteration to clear the bar.

Yup. Really, you get busted and hard if you make something that's maybe greater than a 95% similarity. It's mostly to make direct knock-off merchandise illegal.

At first I was like "man those guns feel really out of place" but then the player character let his bootleg Pachirisu take it and start gunning down motherfarkers and now I want to play this shiat so farking bad

Pokémon × Breath of the Wild + Guns = Shut Up and Take My Money

//unless it's that free to play crap with microtransactions.  Then no.

This reminded me of that Ratchet and Clank game that Sony gave me. It seemed like some kind of puzzle platformer and then my cute little fox character was supposed to exchange gunfire with some robots and keep an eye on his ammo

Did you think fabricating a story about committing random acts of violence would make you sound cool?

So, it's 'Murican Pokemon?

Using a Pikachu for dynamite fishing at the end there sold me on this.

Wife used to do autopsies. One time she got a guy who had run a live wire down from his house to a nearby fishing pond. He dropped the wire into the pond, and was incredibly surprised to discover it worked. Fish floated up to the surface. Tada! Except he was so excited that he waded into grab some before turning off the electricity.

What gave you that impression? I'm a horrible human being who delights in the suffering of others. Do you remember what happens when we assume?

He must have been shocked that it didn't trip the circuit breaker.

If I wanted to play a violent version of Pokemon transposed into the horror genre, I'd play Shin Megami Tensei.

I've just wishlisted it on Steam. Some of the text describing the game is wonderful.

■ Building
- Do you want to build a pyramid? You can have a large number of Pals work on the construction. Don't worry; labor laws won't be applied to Pals.

■ Factory and Automation
- It is essential for automation to let Pals do the manual work. Build a factory and place Pals in it. They will work forever as long as they're fed until the end of their lifetime.

■ Dungeon Exploration
- With Pals, you'll be safe in dangerous areas. If you are in danger, you use Pals to cover your escape! They'll give their lives to protect you.

■ Poaching and Crime
- Endangered species Pals live in the hunting prohibited area. If you sneak in and catch them, you'll get tons of money! It's only illegal if you get caught.

Yes, the steam page is kind of wonderful.

It's like the parody of Pokemon we've needed.

I'm actually genuinely curious to see it.

Is this the American version of ni no kuni? Boy loses his mom and is raised on the mean streets of illegal pocket monster trading and forged an empire to last until the he is gunned down by up and coming hot chick that will do anything and everything she needs to do to survive and win the life she deserves.

If you look at the YouTube channel or Steam page, it seems to come from a Japanese dev, same one as it's doing Craftopia.

That sounds like work I need to do and pay someone else for the privilege. Are you interested in selling international calling cards?
