There are no bugs. They've been extinct for years. Those are miniature government drones.

I was fishing under the drawbridge in the Keys when the gnats nailed me. Either I am really sensitive to that particular species or they are some nasty bastards. Took over a week for the bites to heal.

Do they actually identify what the bugs are? Is it some mysterious unknown species? Lazy ass reporting.

Gnats have driven me belowdecks a few times. Slow moving water, need to be careful of mangroves? Yeah, these wee bastiches will just show up and ruin a day. You can get away, but if you're in the wrong spot, it might take a while to get out of their range, and in the meantime, it just sucks if you have an open cabin--or no cabin in the case of a lot of smaller craft.
