The Republican Party has doubled its LGBTQ support over the past 4 years?

I guess he talked his husband into it by withholding sex.

It's really a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" position that the RNC Chair is in. If she hadn't said anything, people would have just said this proves the GOP doesn't care at all about LGBTQ issues. Yet when she did say something, even something relatively (for the GOP) innocuous, she gets attacked for hypocrisy.

I mean, I'm not saying I feel bad for her or anything. The GOP is an awful collective of terrible people and its Chair therefore represents, by association, the very worst of the worst. If she had any actual humanity or compassion she'd have left the party long ago. So she entirely deserves misery and I encourage people to continue heaping scorn and derision on her via social media. But still. Just thought it was worth mentioning that she'd be getting reamed no matter what she did in this particular situation. Which is kind of beautiful, actually.

There are people who are still surprised by Republican hypocrisy?

"Promote fairness and balance..."?

Really? That's what you're going with?

the last bit of the tweet is a bit of a kick in the balls, considering they used (and are still using) those "deeply held religious beliefs" as justification to oppose equal rights for LGBTQ people. makes the whole message seem a little back-handed

Happy #PrideMonth! @GOP is proud to have doubled our LGBTQ support over the last 4 years, and we will continue to grow our big tent by supporting measures that promote fairness and balance protections for LGBTQ Americans and those with deeply held religious beliefs.

That's the gay version of this:

Is it progress, or actually somehow worse, that a mere handful of years ago it would have definitely been a MALE RNC Chair being insincere about how progressive their party is?

2021-06-04 2:12:33 PM
For Republicans, pride means supporting GCTM community - Guns, Christians, Trumpers and real 'Mericans. The truly oppressed minority

Happy Pride Month.

Now back to the closet, sodomite.

I'm just amazed they had the audacity to even include the "T" in their claims.

This is progress. She didn't even call for their extermination or complain about godless sodomites. Baby steps.

By doubled do they mean halved?

Peter Thiel wasn't taking Trump's calls in 2020.

Whatever happened to Milo Yiannopolous, asked no one ever, because no one actually liked him.

"Those with deeply held religious beliefs"means bigots. The RNC will balance protections for LGBTQ with the desire of right wing bigots to discriminate against them. Good luck with that.

Kind of like how the GOP thought they could use the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando as an opponent to spread their islamophobic garbage to the LGBT community?

That's Ronna Romney McDaniel, HuffPo.

Never forget how she became the chair in the first place.

My deeply held religious beliefs would preclude my sending many dollars every year to a war machine which uses them to kill innocents. Where's my exemption?

My deeply held religious beliefs would preclude my sending many dollars every year to a state which sends them to police who oppress my neighbors. Where's my exemption?

My deeply held religious beliefs would preclude my sending many dollars every year to the state to cover the exemptions given to religious charlatans. Where's my exemption?

My deeply held religious beliefs would preclude my sending many dollars every year to a state which uses them to teach lies about our history (including lies in service of the American religion*). Where's my exemption?

My deeply held religious beliefs would preclude my sending many dollars every year to businesses who refuse to pay fair wages (which is also in the Bible) and use paper games to avoid paying THEIR fair share. Where's my exemption?

In short, fark your religious exemptions.

No doubt. Poor people supporting the GOP can at least claim ignorance, as the GOP says it doesn't hate poor people. LGBTQ on the other hand. Holy shiat is the GOP openly hostile towards you and yours.

I kept being trans to myself for well over 10 years. I felt no "pride" to speak of in those days. I felt ashamed, embarrassed, and traumatized from losing someone close to me when i tried to come out.

Even then, at the lowest of lowest moments, i still did not have the absolute self-loathing it took to be a farking Republican.

I offer a heartfelt, sincere and impassioned FARK YOU AND FARK OFF to that bottom feeding clown Rona McDonald.
