As Trump readies summer rallies and speeches, allies worry he's stuck in the past

It's like these allies, once again, have no idea who he his or what his history tells us.  I wonder if Kurt Andersen i still getting mails with his handprints in Sharpie showing how big and manly his hands and fingers are.

Basically...

It started as soon as Trump refused to concede....

Grifters gonna grift.

Looks like 2024 is going to be Biden vs Trump, nobody else in the republican party is going to win a primary against him.

I saw last night that the T***p winnebago is back in town, selling "Biden Sucks" and "Don't Blame me, I voted for T***p" signs.

Pathetic.

But he had customers.

2021-06-04 11:11:58 AM
Good all he's going to do is go out and talk about 2020, it will force republicans to either back him up and keep the base and look insane to everyone else or you acknowledge the reality that trump lost.

2021-06-04 11:12:09 AM
He'll be back, because cable news NEEDS him.  Let reporters hate him, but show him him 24/7, ratings gold.  As opposed to now, when no one's watching.  The "news" business is absolutely going to resurrect Trump.

I doubt Biden is going to run again.  He ran because he had the best shot at beating Trump.

I expect Harris to run.

I'd like to say I don't expect Trump to live until 2024, but Ronald McDonald and Colonel Sanders are taking their sweet time clogging his arteries.

The whole party platform is to be stuck in the past.
The most entitled people in history believe everyone lower than them socially are actively trying to destroy everything about them.

These people grew up well because of progressive policies enacted by better people than them. Instead they spent a decades tearing down most of that progress then romanticize the earlier periods and demonizing what gave people access to a better life.

Trump's attitude syncs with his voters perfectly.

I bet ticket sales will be lackluster and they'll resort to giving them away again. The bulk of his fans are pretty fairweather types.

You think Biden runs for a second term after he loses the House and the Senate in 2022? He is going to be what, 82 years old in 2024? I can't imagine being president until the age of 86 with the very real spectre of dying in office coupled with a hostile congress that won't approve of renaming a post office let alone transformational policy would be very appealing.

The Democrats may need to start having some very 'real' discussions about 2024 amongst the up and comers before too long.

Conservative media would love you to believe in violent leftist extremism, but all of these people walking around with zero attempted assassinations against them should tell you we don't even have ONE person who believes the violence of the moment will be worth prison or execution.

But he can make BOATLOADS in fundraising if he keeps acting like he's living in the past.  Yes, he can't (legally) directly access that cash.  But he sure as hell can have his Super PAC book tons of rooms at (full-price+) Mar-a-Lago for some sort of gala or what not.

I say good. Let him continue to estrange all the moderate Republicans and Independents. He has plenty of power to get RWNJ candidates onto the ballot, but doesn't have enough support to get them elected (in rational areas of the nation...).

Also, how much of "Biden" is team of which Joe Biden is only the "face"?  They are probably mostly below 80, although getting up their themselves depending how long they've been with him.  Mostly  it is a matter of posing the "face", and we saw with Reagan that such can be done relatively easily.

As long as the face keeps the smart people around and lets them do their job, age isn't an issue.  Granted, about 6 weeks ago my dear old dad (age 84) more or less had a "25th amendment disqualifying medical episode".  It might not be best for the country, but the team is unlikely to take that personal hit to hand off the nomination to Harris.

Besides, Biden would easily bury Trump in a second round.  Harris is an uncertain quantity.

Did the Germans file the paperwork before they bombed Pearl Harbor?

/ Let him go, he's on a roll
// The Germans definitely filed paperwork, they're German.
/// Seriously, the one thing that gives me some hope this America thing isn't quite done yet is the possibility that the t(R)eason weasels will remain fixated on 2020 and run the whole shiat show back. If they just drop that grift and go back to their racism economic grievance schtick they can probably cement enough power to end this thing.

We could just ignore him.  From what I understand deplatforming is doing a pretty good job.  You'd think that the media would have learned their lesson after giving him so much attention the first time around he'd suck the oxygen out of the rest of the room.

He's vanquished and a bitter sore loser, don't cover him.

You are such a conservative cliche.

You take shots at people thinking you are some tough guy but when someone talks back ,you show your cowardice and thin skin then pretend that you are the victim.

BowChickaMaoWow: Thats one of the major flaws of capitalst bourgeois democracy. Because there is so much profit wrapped up in controlling the political economy, the powerful political entities are more focused on PR than long term policy solutions.

That won't change by voting R or D.

So what you're saying is that both sides are bad? Hmmm, indeed. I wonder whom I should vote for in that case?
