(Metro)   TikTok users are cutting off their ponytails to create a shag, aka the one-minute mullet. Stylist evenly says the idea is good in theory but that "the differing method between tutorials is worrying"   (metro.co.uk) divider line

If it's on TikTok ... it's a bad move.

The first thing I learned in the military; no matter how bad a haircut is, it grows back.

/no promises about Gorilla Glue.

These poor kids....they can't even afford clothes that fit.

Seriously, do you really think that's your best look? Even in your top 10?

The only diy haircut that ever works involves a razor...

But keep it up, Tik Tok people; your failures provide a lot of entertainment for the chronically bored.

Combining parts of "the ponytail shag" and the "one-minute mullet" reveals my fate if I'm ever desperate enough, uncaring enough, and have the means to visit a prostitute :/

I feel like this should have been a shut-down story.

"Is your hair ruined forever?"

No. Because it's hair.

I wonder how many people have just figured out they're good at cutting their own hair and post videos online to troll other people into trying to copy them.

During quarantine and going 18 months without a haircut (I was at least 4 months overdue when the first lockdown happened), I discovered I have luxurious, glorious, and incredibly healthy hair.  The hair stylist I went to convinced me to let to go for another few months then donate it.

So I'm now 2 months into growth of hair that I'll donate in March 2023.

If you can, donate your hair. You'll make a cancer patient, burn victim, or otherwise hairless person a hell of a lot happier.  I can't afford to donate $$$, but it seems I do have a commodity that's in demand and something I can supply.

"If you can..."  I have the benefit of being home 95% of the time and don't have workplace dress code I have to adhere to.  I understand not everybody can do this.

This is what happens when people start believing fat is beautiful means fat actually is beautiful rather than don't let being fat hurt your self-esteem. Yeah, everyone deserves to be loved but you should also probably treat yourself properly and take some health science classes.

I would love to do this, I work for a university so nobody cares what my hair looks like. Sadly I can't really grow much hair on my head these days. However, if anyone needs back hair donated I'm ready!

I've been cutting my own bangs since 1982. Never thought to make a video about it.

I've donated hair before (sadly, I'm pretty sure the barber cocked up the donation) and I donate blood every 8 weeks pretty religiously.  It's almost the easiest donation humanly possible.  #1 goes to being an organ donor which is even easier seeing as how you're dead so you really don't lose anything at all.

Currently working on growing my hair out again and I might use donating it as an excuse if work pushes back (they don't have an official policy, but I don't want to be the guy that gets policy written).
