TFA line 1: Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will join Barcelona on a two-year contract when his contract expires at the end of June.

He's out of contract so he signs for nothing, nought, zilch.

And his salary will be one of Barce's most intelligent expenses.

That doesn't mean he didn't get a signing bonus...let alone a very large salary promise.  That just means they didn't pay City anything for him.

I am not sure I can name the last 32 year old free transfer that signed a massive contract outside of China or the MLS.

best case scenario is that they they've found a way to replace Luis Suarez, which never really worked for them once Neymar left.

I also don't really recall Messi and Aguero being a formidable combination at the international level. Maybe that's a decade of mismanagement from Argentine coaches, but it isn't a combination I'd be throwing money at.

Zlatan back to Italy comes to mind. But he was probably past 32 by that point

It also comes with the poisoned chalice of the fact they almost certainly promised him they'd be resigning Messi to bring him aboard. Aguero said he expected Messi to stay now that he's there.

So they're paying $100M+ per year, because they can't let him go now. Again.

Otherwise they just signed an aging, injury-prone striker just to piss him off.

And Ancelotti managed to fall upwards by bailing from Neverton to take over at Real Madrid.
