Enjoy your flaccid impotence, NPCs.

The real take away from what the reporter said was how many people were afraid to speak out against Greene on camera.

I live just across the border from her district (which she doesn't live in) and I wish I could tell you I was surprised. But I'm not. A lot of "Jesus loves me but hates everyone I don't like" type people in North Georgia.

It amuses me to think that Greene supporters think that she's 'really stickin it to the libs!' Personally, I'm more worried for her health than I am offended. She's broken in a way that would probably make me sad if I learned all the details.

Only 90%? I figured she hasn't even shown up for a vote yet.

And that 10% is mostly optional.

Is she still doing that thing of making a motion to adjourn for the day at like 10 AM that temporarily brings everything to a halt for no good reason?

She wasn't elected to do anything but own the libs.

Her voters don't care about governing.  It's all about triggering the other side.

I used to live right outside of Rome.  It could benefit from another flood, or maybe a return of General Sherman.

For the people I know that voted for Trump, it basically comes down to this: Democrats might give people health care and that is the most evil terrible thing imaginable therefore we must vote Republican even if they talk about Jewish space lasers and lizard people because at least Republicans won't do the heinous and unforgivable thing of giving people health care.

What a crap article. First they tease us with this: "Brandyn Parker is a 37-year-old Republican leather worker at a shop downtown. Standing outside the store Thursday with a possum on a leash, Parker said..."

Then show a picture of Brandyn, standing... w/o her leashed possum!

Way to let me down CNN.

The media should stop saying Greene won because her opponent dropped out "for personal reasons".

He dropped out after an extended hate campaign by Greene's supporters, including death threats, doxxing, terrorizing his wife and kids, and causing a mental breakdown.

As far as I know, steroid abuse doesn't cause your eyes to be that close together, so some of it has to be genetic.

I was feeling guilty that my own biases and prejudices might be coloring my interpretation of the article. And then I read the bit about the woman standing downtown with a possum on a leash and realized that no, this is all on them.

Better yet, ask for a recount and say that she stole the election and that you're going to hire Cyber Ninjas to find the fraud.

But subby, several of them expressed concern. CONCERN! Do you know how momentous that is? It's only a few small steps from concerned to "miffed" or "mildly perturbed." Furrowed eyebrows could follow. MTG better watch out, she's playing with fire.

mrshowrules: The real take away from what the reporter said was how many people were afraid to speak out against Greene on camera.

Well, considering her opponent lost his wife, home, and had to drop out of race due to death threats it isn't all that surprising nobody wants to speak out.

Run for congress as a bigger and then just not bother voting or showing up, say some inflammatory shiat every once in a while.

The GOP voters will trip over themselves to vote for you.

You don't actually have to do anything or vote in their interest.

Democracy doesn't have a defense against a majority of its constituents choosing to suicide.

If enough people vote like this there's no way to defend against it.

If they choose fascism they choose fascism and that's it.

Also, this just struck me as really funny.

"Dalton, Georgia, is recognized throughout the world for the development of the carpet. That's what most people know it by. But now it's being known by the idea that everybody in Dalton was a supporter of Marjorie Greene -- and they were not."

Translator: They wish to know where you come from.

Explorer: Tell them we come from Dalton, Georgia, United States.

<Translator speaks to tribesmen, awed gasps break out>

Tribesmen: OHHH! DALTON!! CARPET!!! OHHH!! DALTON! DALTON! DALTON!

<The tribesmen rush forward and throw themselves down at the feet of our intrepid explorer. They weep with joy.>

Explorer: Works every time.

You should be offended. She's a co conspirator in an attempted coup. She's personally led a campaign of harassment against a junior congressperson.

This is the new norm for the GOP .. It worked so well for Trump that he got kind of elected or putin the White House .. There will be a lot of copy cats because they can't do that on their own merit ..

> Rome voter Steve Karakos, ... was one of many Republicans who expressed misgivings about some of Greene's remarks -- but said he is likely to continue supporting her.
The Georgia congresswoman, he said, is "very outspoken like a pitbull."

I didn't know that pitbulls had a reputation for being outspoken - they are more of the strong silent type.

True, Marjorie Taylor Greene, does look somewhat like a pit bull but that's not a complement.

Mostly pit bulls have a reputation for thick skulls and not letting go of something they've latched on by any persuasion short of whacking them on the head with a 2x4.

2x4s for Marjorie Taylor Greene!

OK - you don't like what she says -- but "what she says", is the sum f***ing total of her work in D.C.

No input on Committees that might affect them -- and a "No!!" vote on everything that means nothing.

By their own standards, a rutabaga or a banana would provide just as effective a level of representation and wouldn't say "what she says"

"Banana 2022 in Georgia -- it's what's up"
