Can you blame it? Veal is delicious.

Beats finding half a mouse in your food.

Veal garnished with mice, it sounds kind of cheesy.

"We immediately removed and disposed of all products in the case, performed a deep cleaning, and brought in a third party service for a thorough inspection," the spokeswoman said. "The store diligently followed our detailed protocol in response and continues to work closely with our food safety team."

My goodness, what a load of bullshiat.

You should be glad you were in Whole Foods, hen. You don't want to see what's eating the meat in Half Foods.

So what you're saying is I can get some half-price veal?

Well what else can they really say? Grocery stores and restaurants are going to get vermin sometimes. They just have to find out how it got in, plug the hole and toss and clean any surfaces it came in contact with.

At least,  this was a more discerning mouse and went for the good stuff,  and not a common street mouse who settles for what NYers think is pizza!

Almea Tarrant: So what you're saying is I can get some half-price veal?

I doubt you would want to eat meat from a store the manager said he even warned corporate about... me thinks there is a lot more wrong there.

I never thought your typical bodega would be better equipped to handle this type of crisis than Whole Foods.

Oh Almea you can't eat that, it's probably contaminated with rodent feces and scientifically classified as a bacterial culture medium!

Fine! I'll just go back to eating fresh local chicken...like some kind of peasant!

Everyone always telling me what to do... *wanders off muttering*

HL should have addressed the crowd as 'rabies and germs.'

You have to pay extra for mouse droppings (hair, urine, turds, dander etc) where I live.
NYC really is the place to be.

Do people typically eat veal raw?

I would think that proper cooking would kill any germs introduced by Remy's little cousin. If so, the only one really at risk here is the rodent who is being exposed to who knows what by nibbling raw meat. They little guy will be lucky to survive.

Feels like I've seen this story with that exact picture before. I'm getting deja vu this morning.
