This means he can't run again due to term limits. Okay, Republican belief system.

So trending down from 70% is a good sign I guess...

Trump told his voters that racism, bigotry, greed and cruelty are not faults, but rather indicators of loyalty to "traditional" America. He told them they were right about everything and should never change. He told them the world must adjust to them, not vice versa. They can't believe they lost that president. He was perfect.

53% of republicans meet the requirements for a 72 hour involuntary mental health evaluation due to being delusional and a threat to themselves and others. Federal laws says  the 53% should have any firearms taken away because of mental infirmity.

Republicans are what, 30 percent of registered voters?  So does that mean that roughly 15 percent of registered voters believe this?

Honestly, that's lower than I thought it would be.

Pretty rough statistic. That's what, 20% of the US population? Actually terrifying.

Yeah, they don't. Like their stance on abortion and COVID, most of them don't believe the stupid shiat they claim to believe.

That's not better, BTW.

Until he reveals that he dissolved the "corporate entity" of the United States and thus restored the original Republic of the United States, which makes everything enacted after 1871 null and void which of course includes Presidential term limits, allowing Donald Trump to continue to serve as the 19th President of the United States indefinitely.

This is what some of them actually believe.

2021-05-24 3:41:22 PM
They think he's still president, but they don't care what he says. They don't care about his blog. They don't care about his financial situation. And they really don't care about the investigations into him.

So like a good Republican, they are towing the party line with empty words. Sounds about right.

We're so tantalizingly close to getting conservatism officially recognized as a mental disease.

Yes - if there's one thing we can reliably say about today's GOP, it's that they respect the American Judicial system even if it disagrees with them or has harsh words for their icon-du-jour.

The other 47% think Obama is the shadow president, so they're all idiots.

Biden recent dropped student loan forgiveness from the budget. Biden's first five months as president has mostly been capitulating to Republicans. Biden may be president in name, but Trump is practically still president due to Democrat ineptitude and cowardice.

That's a pity, because he seems to be causing less chaos in his "current" term than he did in his first term.

/ I guess Collins, et al, who voted not to impeach were right when they said he had learned his lesson.

so what? That's like 25% of the voting population?

Based on Trump's election returns, that's a whopping 39.3M Americans?

Okay. That still means 116.15M more Americans say otherwise.

but hey, let's keep making these 39.3M Americans represent 90% of America.

They lost the war, they just refuse to acknowledge it yet. The war was lost in 1865, they just refuse to give up. Dealt another critical blow in 1964, they tripled down and had some successes along the way, but that just prolonged their suffering. Now the final blow is at hand, both for the racist base and the moneymen behind it all.

Treasury announcing they'd likely make back trillions in tax evasion/avoision of the rich and corporate was a signal that the US is taking back the reins of financial power that we've been imbued with.

the TTP and TtTP (Euro version) would've united all but China and Russia into a united alliance and regulation of things like tax havens could have actually happened and we could've entered into a non-Russian/Chinese dominant century. As it is, unless Biden can resurrect both of those, China may have won a great victory long term, diplomatically. Russia too, but less so.

There's ample evidence he's still President.

1) He performs absolutely none of the duties of the office.
2) He plays golf 80% of the time
3) He's spewing out lies and dissension
4) He still appears to be above the law
5) He is still grifting like crazy.

Exactly the stuff he did in office. QED

Or it's almost like Republicans doing nothing but another tax break in 4 years is easier than trying to clean up decades of conservative wank.

'Doing something is harder than doing nothing'. Truly Fark's Concerned Progressives have a dizzying intellect.

Eh, I think there's probably a range of belief between "he actually rightfully won the election and should be in the White House right now" and "Donald Trump is actually secretly pulling the strings until some big reveal on March 4th / March 20 / TBD". There are some real nutters out there but I imagine most Republicans lean towards the former part of the spectrum.

Q has infromed me that Trump secretly took over Biden's body last November, so of course Trump would still be president.

Oh those are just the people for that one question.

61% still think it was stolen according to a question in there.

31% think Jan 6th was left wingers.  With 23% saying they "somewhat agree" with ut.

46% strongly disagree what Trump had anything to do with Jan 6th with a further 19% only "somewhat disagreeing."

And 56% of respondents saying that the 2020 election was illegitimate and the result of illegal voting and counting.

So we aren't nearly out of the woods here yet.

2021-05-24 3:55:09 PM
Well, he's been doing a much better job since Jan 20th. That little chat with HR must have really paid off...

To be fair, this is less than before.  It means some Republicans aren't insane? (to put a generous spin on it)
