I bought that album in 1992 the same day I was waiting in line all night to get Van Halen tickets.  I didn't know any songs but listenes to it all night on my walkman.  I loved it.  The dude next to me in line told me to turn that rap shiat down.  I told him I was coming back with another bombtrack.

I'd bet that the creator of that tik tok doesn't fit the category.

You know their last album is so old that people born after it came out can now legally drink, right?

It's not as far-fetched as you think.

Not necessarily. Lots of recent YouTube reaction videos of hip-hop fans discovering Rage for the first time. Remember that in the 90's, Rage was in the 'Alternative Rock' pigeon-hole with minimal exposure on hip-hop/rap stations. And when the hip-hop crowd finally discovers Rage, they go all in, surprised that a 'rock' band can speak to their own experiences like that.

I love watching those vids because they really get the lyrics and messages in a way some of their longtime fans don't.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, this helps expose a new audience to RATM.
On the other hand, Tiktok.

Crap, fair enough. The years are going by, but I don't want to turn into a boomer, I really don't.

I feel ya. I heard the other day someone refer to my age cohort as a "geriatric millennial." I would have kicked their ass, but my bursitis was flaring up.

Would TikTok be more palatable to you if he was shaking his money maker in a bikini?

My man's face when Morello's skillz hit his earholes is literally every one the first time RATM dropped their bombtracks on us.

I hear music I listened to as a teenager in farking grocery stores! When I was a kid, grocery stores didn't play actual music, they played Musak or something like it, which makes it even weirder to hear my music there.
