Episode title: "Crossroads." Next (and final) episode is "Closure."

Tobias Whale is the best villain in comics-on-screen. Even better than Lex Luthor on Supergirl and I didn't think that was possible.

What a cliffhanger ending! Kinda wish I hadn't seen the next episode clips.

I think Tobias is the best villain since Kingpin. D'Onofrio not Duncan. Though Duncan did the best he could with the material he was given.

I never watched either Daredevil series.

Yes, the writing is as important as the acting in making a compelling villain.

Well.. that was something.

I rather like the Khalil-Painkiller conversations.  The toxic blood ended the fight with Ishmael.  Looker is a bit more cooperative now.

Jefferson's memory removal trick was a long shot, and it failed.  Seems he'll need a real Resurrection unless Tobias decided to fake the death to hurt JJ.

Tobias also took control of that 'shadow council'.  Talked about taking over Star City, Gotham, Metropolis.  I don't think he mentioned Central City.. perhaps because it's too full of metas with a different source of power.

I liked that Lynn name-checked saving the multiverse..  Jefferson must have told her about that, it must have seemed insane to her.

Oh, and after Lightning outed the police chief as a homicidal maniac to everyone, even the other cops,  she freaked out, went back to her office, and gave herself a metabooster.  I wonder what power she'll end up with.. she didn't seem to pick one deliberately, so it may surprise her, too.

The Kingpin and Tobias do have a lot in common.  Clever, intelligent criminal masterminds.  Tobias is physically stronger than the Daredevil Kingpin, but perhaps not the comic book versions.  The Kingpin may have the more volatile temperament.

Yeah, there was some conversations about the Crisis after it ended, and Lynn does know about them. I think there were some ramifications for them. I'll have to go back and check.

Forget Central City. I'd've loved it if Tobias had named-dropped the City of Dakota.

How about the Duncan version?

He wasn't supernaturally strong, either.

In the comics, Spider Man, as strong as he is, does try to stay out of the Kingpin's reach.

Season 1 of Daredevil is in my opinion the best superhero series hands down.

Worth getting Netflix for? I've never used Netflix.

Well worth it. Especially since you can also watch the other Marvel series. Jessica Jones season one is great, the later seasons less so. Luke Cage is good. Punisher is good. The only ones I haven't purchased in order to have a permanent copy for myself are Iron Fist and Defenders. They aren't so good.  But you still might want to watch them for continuity.

Wish I'd binged all this during the pandemic. :-(
