Compare this to Mississippi, where they upheld a LIFE SENTENCE for a man caught with just ONE OUNCE of pot.

I still think it's funny (not haha funny) how the oldsters are legalizing the morally "straight" version of "medical" (for themselves).

Heh - goes a touch beyond that.  What we got here is Republicans that are capable of seeing a way to the money.  "Medical?  Yeah ok we can probably sell that one to the fundie freaks - compassion and all that shiat.  All that farkin' weed money...."  Pretty soon it's, "Welp, we couldn't hold back the tide.  Sorry, just had to sign that legalization bill - will of the people and all." while fanning themselves with stacks of cash.

Also:

The commission will charge non-refundable application fees of $2,500.
The commission will set licensing fees between $10,000 and $50,000.

Can't be letting the little people supplant their corporate masters, after all.

If you hid the watch and the stars on the flag is there any other way to prove this is not just a colorized reproduction from the 1920s?

Still blows my mind how pot is "evil" but alcohol is not.

I have a lot of farked up things inside my farked up head. Some ptsd, most other things. Pot has helped smooth that awful broken glass down more than any medication, including weapons-grade doses of trazodone (old school stuff) and more sensible doses of Wellbutrin (newer stuff), and so many other meds.
Weed quiets my brain down enough to sleep, focus on stuff around the house when I'm awake, and gives me enough breathing room to make it through the day with a little bit of grace.

I've never had the urge to do stupid shiat on it like when drunk and mostly sit around and create, fix motorcycles, leatherwork, be productive, and love on my cats. Instead of spiraling me deeper into depression like with alcohol I have room to smile and laugh and find moments to see a little bit of joy in the world.

We should totally ban that shiat.

uknesvuinng: Raw plant, smoking, vaporization, candies, and baked goods are not allowed. Pills, gelatin cubes, lozenges, oils, suppositories, nebulizers, and patches are.

No one's smoking legally any time soon.

Yeah, you can't have Gramma and Pastor Bubba going out smelling of the debbil's weed. In case, you know, gossip. Same reason you invite two Baptists if you want to go fishing and drinking otherwise inviting just the one means they will drink your beer. What the neighbours don't see/smell, neither does God.

You gotta keep in mind that this has nothing to do with the facts - not a single damn thing.  It has to do with which money-making opportunities such as alcohol are already established, powerful money-making lobbies - and which are not yet - such as weed.  You demonize the ones that you don't on the team paying in.  Basic politics since... hmm - day 1 probably.

/until you get someone that goes "Wait a minute - new power base I can glom up for my own!"
//which is umm - just gonna go ahead and say, "What we have here" again
///you're not wrong - not even one bit - it's just completely irrelevant to that sort of politician
