So a spoonful of this strange brew gave him a slow hand leaving him at the crossroads of science and born under a bad sign.

Kinda seems like Clapton was just always an asshole.

Wow. I think we should, on behalf of the universe, apologize to him for the Covid-19 pandemic not resolving itself in a manner that produced less anxiety. There are only about seven billion people who'd give their left gonad to get the vaccine that inoculated him.

"I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it's hard to bite my tongue with what I now know," Clapton wrote.

"tow [sic] the line..."

I fail to see the problem.

It IS propaganda.  Absolutely.  The "You're a farking idiot" part starts when he assumes that just 'cause it's propaganda, it has to be wrong or malicious.  It does not.

As much as it's become synonymous with bullshiat for some people, propaganda by definition includes only the following:  a deliberate effort to influence public opinion and an emphasis on manipulating them to head in a certain direction.  That not only can be but has been and will be done by simply pushing the truth, and pushing it hard.  Which is what's been done.  The below example and it's similar brethren for other issues are also propaganda - one of the largest propaganda campaigns that's ever been pushed and amongst the most ubiquitous.  He gonna argue with this stuff too?

He's sort of right. He shouldn't get jabbed. He can't catch covid-19. He can't even catch his own baby.

When I was in 1st grade, I Shot the Sheriff was very popular on the radio. Our family watched the Donny & Marie Show each week, which included a medley of popular songs during "little bit country, little bit rock & roll."

One week the Osmond brothers performed I Shot the Sheriff (all wearing white cowboy hats as I recall) during the medley, so for the longest time as a kid I thought they wrote that song. So in high school learning it was a Bob Marley song originally really blew my mind. Looking back, I'm not sure if the Osmonds even knew that, just covering the new Clapton song.

An already existing condition he didn't notify the medical staff about, if what I've heard is correct. You know, because that's always a good idea when getting a shot for the first time.

From what little I know about peripheral neuropathy, there can be a variety of triggers.  Wonder if he blames every flare up, from now on, on residual vaccine effects?  We don't want our leaders singing or trying to entertain us, we also don't want to hear our entertainers trying to lead us.  Hush and play jester, before you fail to amuse us.

Who is the most overrated guitarist in the history of music, Alex. He strikes me as the most full of himself pompous twat in the industry. The only thing he's ever done is inspire an actual true innovator in music, Eddie Van Halen. Aside from that, he and his middle class English "blues" can fark off.

Eric Clapton's legacy was less of who he was or what he did but more to making sure that artists like Muddy Waters and Freddie King got at least some level of credit for their contributions.

Yes, I'm sure history will forget all about his guitar playing and only remember him for biatching about a vaccination he got. His three inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be nothing compared to his inductions into the Biatching About Vaccines Hall of Fame.

Have you heard that Muddy Waters album with Clapton? Clapton tried to tell Muddy he was playing his own damn song wrong! Muddy wasn't having any of it.

I always thought it was me. Never liked Clapton's music. When I heard that album I finally get justified in my dislike of him

<Lots of words incoming, fair warning.  Look away if you're anti-sociological screed>

They're had to head that way thanks to the perception that it's only bullshiat - English ever-changing language etc.  Notice they're all written in such a way as to not say "It's all bullshiat." though?  That's because due to the associations people have with the word, they don't want to admit that there is 'good' propaganda.  People tend to lose their minds if they feel they've been propogandized (which is silly, we all have from birth.)  It's just a pushed official "This is what's what" agenda.  It can be evil, good, anything at all depending on which version is being pushed and how.  Societies run on it - it's what gives us commonality of culture in many ways.  Those ways aren't always good do not get me wrong - but it's how we get "This is how an American/Somali/Javanese whatever the fark person is in general supposed to be."  Morality and basic "normal" behavior in most countries is something that's been propagandized since the birth of that culture.  Stories, those who are regarded as heroes, those who are held up as general examples and taught in schools - all of these things can be and often are propaganda.  If they don't start that way, officialdom will eventually co-opt it and make it so if it fits the narrative.

his two greatest guitar performances are his "Just one Night" (1979) live album, (also some pretty good impassioned vocals too.... which is much welcome after after his "meh / sleepy " vocals of the mid 70s / Ocean Boulevard in Every Crowd era)

and on Roger Waters first (or, arguably second) solo album "The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking"
