Tax NFT and blockchain currencies at 5000%. Do it per transaction.

Don't force the rest us to have higher taxes because of these idiots.

Usually it's the Simpson that predict the future, but South Park managed to get this one.

Let's collectively STOP posting anything about NFTs.  Only attention makes people think they are anything other than worthless.

NFTs are not just stupid, but people propping them up are bad people because of how horrific the blockchain is on the environment, for literally no purpose.

Since you are feeling so generous, there's nothing stopping you from paying more.

I think there's some future for it, but probably not this use case.  A game like MTGO could leverage NFTs as a way to show/sell/trade ownership of a card, and perhaps provide visibility to boost values for collectors.  Conceivably, a way could be implemented to translate paper to digital ownership as well in the future for some kind of future digitization of the product(not that they can't do this today with a traditional database).  The concept of a public or semi-public ledger to show/prove ownership and chain of custody is important in TCGs/CCGs because of the significant issues with stolen and counterfeit cards.

As far as the environment, it's the digital "mining" that's terrible, and proof of work(mining) is quickly falling by the wayside for proof of stake, which does not have the same energy concerns(no different than any other high transaction database at that point).

Really just a matter of efficiency. Anyone that has a loose 46 grand around to buy an NFT of a boxxy meme has so much more than me, and they obviously don't value it. They'll never miss it and it's more bang for our tax collecting buck.

How much would it cost to buy the one NFT to rule them all?

NFT just seems like bitcoin but for hipsters who want artisanal hentai instead of nerds who fap to Ayn Rand.
