Many years ago, I was reading an issue of The Atlantic that compiled interesting ideas. One of those ideas was to place lions and giraffes and zebras into the American Midwest to reinstate a savannah in the region. I mentioned it to my neighbor while we were having beers on my porch. He spewed Lion Stout our of his nose and exclaimed, "They actually published that?! I wrote the paper as mostly a joke!"

I learned the other day that in German, BMW is BMV and Mercedes sounds like mer-TSEY-dess.  According to some German YouTube lady I saw the other day.
